Capcom and GungHoOnline released a new mobile game on Android and iOS Wednesday, and they're calling it the "Card Game to End All Other Card Games." Set in a world called the Land of Illusion, eight iconic Capcom legends, including Ryu, Rathalos, Megaman, Chun-Li, Morrigan, Dante, Wesker, and Nergig🌊ante, have been brought together by unknown forces and must battle each other to "find the truth."
The story mode features a campaign for all eight characters and provides a handy introduction to each of their hero arts, unique abilities that can be equated to Hearthstone's hero power. Each hero belongs to one of four elements and, while you can build decks that contain multiple elements (like you can in 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Magic: The Gathering) you are disincentivi🎀zed to do so by a reduction in max MP (the points need꧙ed to play cards).
Design-wise, you'll find a lot of similarities to Hearthstone, such as minion cards having attack and health values and being destroyed when their health is reduced to zero. Each one also has a card text, which may be a keyword that gives it a special ability or a one-time effect that happens when you play it. Duplicates cards can be "reaped" (read: dusted) and cards can be crafted for ~4x their reaping cost. That, however, is about where the comparisons to Hearthstone end, because the game😼play itself is something very different indeed.
You and your opponent have three slots on the board that parallel each other. Any minion you place on a slot will begin a timed auto attack on the enemy. If there is an enemy minion opposite, they will attack each other, reducing both minions' health. If the space across from your minion is empty, then you will attack the opponent directly. Your goal is to reduce your opponent's health to zero before they can do the sa♊me to you.
The real-time battle system is an interesting layer to the strategy of the game as you do not have a turn-timer t𝓰hat allows you to plan out your strategy. It is important not only to play the correct card to counter your opponent, but to also play it at the correct time. It's a unique design decision that may help the game to stand out in a crowded mobile marketplace.
