Who Is Catherine?

Catherine is a mysterious woman that seduces Vincent into cheating on his girlfriend, Katherine. Catherine represents desire, and Vin🅰cent is often mesmerized by her good looks.

Vincent first meets Catherine at the Stray Sheep bar on the first night after his friends leave. After talking in the booth for a while, they both leave for Vincent's apartment.

Throughout the game, it is emphasized that Catherine is Vincent's ideal woman. She is young, pretty, petite, and blonde; ev🍸erything that Vincent loves. Interestingly, Vincent is the only person in ෴his friend group that sees Catherine.

Later, it is revealed that Catherine is a succubus, designed to appeal to all of Vincent's desires.

Catherine hails from the Underworld, and it is her job to seduce men and lure them into the nightmares that the game revolves around. She is visible to others but is meant to embody a person's ideals.

When Is Catherine At The Bar?

C✅atherine will appear at the bar on a feꦉw days, which are listed below.

• Day 2: 22:10 to the end of the night
• Day 3: 22:30 to the end of the night
• Day 6: 22:40 to the end of the night

On these days, be sure to stick around the bar so you can talk with her.

Some of these encounters will not influence the ending you get; however, they help you get a better understanding of who both Catherine and Vincent are.

How To Unlock The Catherine Route

To achieve Catherine's endings, you will first need to unlock her route.

To do so, you will need to answer one of the three questions asked on Day 6 at the Stray Sheep incorrectly.

Below, you can find the correct answers. Remember, answer at least one incorrectly! If you don't, you will be heading down the Rin route.

All Catherine Route Endings

Endings for each character are determined by the mysterious meter, as well as answers to the stage nine confessional questions.

The mysterious meter will appear on the screen whenever Vincent has to make a decision. The red side of the meter represents chaos, while the blue side represents peace and order.

Basically, the more you want to cheat on your girlfriend, the more the pointer will be in the red area of the meter.

Good Ending: Can't Get Enough

In this ending, Vincent and Catherine get married. Rather than declining Vincent's proposal, Catherine says yes.

Shortly after the proposal, Catherine's father, Nergal, appears and goes on about how he is against his daughter marrying a human.

Nergal is a giant demon who happens to be the Lord of the Underworld. After talking for a while, Catherine convinces her father to accept their marriage.

The ending concludes with a scene of Vincent and Catherine laying in bed, wi🌟th Boss next to them. Vincent freaks out, but Catherine explains that he is just there to watch over the💃m.

The camera zooms out of Vincent's window, and we see the Underworld, with Astaroth tower in the background. This ending results in marriage, as well as Vincent moving to the Underworld.

The main difference between the good and bad endings involves the meterꦰ. If the meter is blue, you will get the bad ending; if the meter is red, then you will get the good ending.

True Ending: A Dangerous Pair

The true ending is very similar to the good ending. Vincent will marry Catherine and move to the Underworld, but there will be an additional scene where Vincent becomes a demon as well.

As a demon, he overthrows Nergal and takes over the throne with a group of succubi surrounding him. This is a very fitജting ending, considering that Vincent decided ♌to leave his human girlfriend behind for an actual demon.

Alternative Ending: Time-Traveling Bride

This ending is an addition for Catherine: Full Body. In the alternative ending, Vincent and Catherine meet at the Stray Sheep. Rather than a proposal, Catherine opens a portal and the pair go through it.

After going through the portal, Vincent wakes up in his high school classroom. Initially, Vincent is a bit confused but๊ eventually, Catherine appears to everyone, as a new student.

By going through the portal, Vincent is transported back to high school and Catherine is just a normal student. This allows Vincent to meet Catherine in a more natural way, without cheating on his current girlfriend.

The pair date and eventually end up getting married. In this ending, Vincent does not cheat and the two of them end up having several children. This is a feel-good ending that does not involve nightmares, cheating, or mysterious deaths.

Prior to getting this ending, you will need to unlock it through a few additional steps on nights five and six.

Fifth Night

Catherine will send a message, asking "How's your stomach?" Do not reply to this.

Later, Catherine will send another message about the piano player. Here, you will need to send her a video message of Rin playing the piano.

Sending the video of Run playing piano is the key step to getting the alternative ending. Doing so will allow the messages on the sixth night to appear.

Sixth Night

On this night, you will need to reply immediately to both of Catherine's messages.

Similar to the true ending, there is only one way to get this alternative ending. To get this ending, your mysterious meter will need to be in the middle.
