R❀ight from the get-go, you’re aboard a carriage riding to your new life, with a letter from a close friend telling you about the frontier - that🐼 friend, of course, being Roger Clarke, reading out the letter for you while peaceful music readies you for your new adventure.
As I arrived in the quiet town of Tahiti, I was introduced to my new plot of land - Broken Wheel Ranch. It’s all standard fare if you’ve played 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Stardew Valley, Story of Seasons, Harvest🐻 Moon, or literally any cozy farming game ever. The mayor chucked👍 a bunch of tools at me and gave me some initial tasks, and off I went, planting broccoli like there was no tomorrow.
Much like Stardew Valღley, Cattle Country can seem🥃 simple on the surface, but I felt myself drawn in like it was 2016 all over again, or putting my cowboy boots on like it was 2018 again. Or, well, 1891 in this case.
I met a villager who gave me a fishing rod, which was to be expected from the genre, but then I also met the Sheriff, who gave me a gun. Cue the minigame of shooting cans with a quickdraw, as I’m now let loose in town with a six-shooter. I’ve been asked to stay on the right side of the law, and quite frankly, I’m too afraid toꦜ test that boundary.
Living The Van Der Linde Dream
While I have yet to see if I can harvest mangoes in this frontier climate, it feels like the freedom of the West that is the dreamed-of goal for the entire gang in Red Dead Redemption 2. Having Roger Clarke deliver his iconic voice to the marketing, a🎐nd even in-game, is a brilliant move in tying together people with a love for both Red Dead and cozy farming sims.
Especially when all I wanted from Red Dead Online was to buy a ranch, Rockstar.
Now, we can create our own headcanons of a happier ending for Red Dead Redemption 2. No need for any more running from the law, now we can just build a life for ourselves in the frontier, experiencing that Wild West life to the fullest, with plenty of cowboy action weaved into the narrative as we help to build up and defend this small town - something that John Marston got to experience for a little while. A little while.
Okay, now we just need to get Ro❀b Wiethoff on board f𒐪or some DLC or something.
