Fans of Geralt Rivia shouldn't be waiting for his next adventure, because it's never coming. CD Projekt Red's CEO said in no uncertain terms that The Witcher 4 is not going to happen. While that is certainly disappointing news, fans at least still have Gwent Cyberpunk 2077 to look forward to.
At a recent gaming seminar, CD Projekt Red CEO Adam Kicinski gave a . For the gaming portion of his talk, he mostly discussed the studio's upcoming Cyberpunk 2077, making only a passing reference to The Witcher 3. Instead, CD Projekt Red is turning its focus to its two big current projects. Those would be Gwent, a digital card game based in the Witcher world, and Cyberpunk 2077, an ambitious RPG set in a dark technological future. But while Geralt's story seems to be finished in favor of these new projects, that doesn't mean that the Witcher franchise is. “No one said that one day we won’t decide to develop something in the Witcher universe," Kicinski said, "but now we’re focusing on Cyberpunk and Gwent.”
If fans really do need to satisfy their Geralt fix, however, 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:he will be appearing in SoulCalibur VI. The weapons-based fighting game has played host to many guest characters over the years, from The Legend Of Zelda's Link to sinister Sith Lord Darth Vader. While many gamers will no doubt take the lack of Witcher 4 as a bad thing, they should take heart that CD Projekt Red has the integrity to end it. There are few things worse than a company running a beloved franchise into the ground just to get every last penny. And like Kicinski said, the world of Witcher might come back someday. For now, fans will have to be satisfied with a few good rounds of Gwent.
