Much likꦍe with TV series, it’s not often that the main character is the most popular character. While there are certainly many memorable game protagonists, it’s usually the side characters that dr🌊aw the most attention. Whether this is through design or behavior, there are many NPCs that are far more interesting than the hero.
Becau🍸se of this, it’s easy to wonder about these characters, where they came from, and what they’re capable of doing. As such, there’s a lot of fantasizing about what it would be like to play through an entire game as one of them and add more richness to their stories.
8 ℱ Sola🥀ire Of Astora (Dark Souls)
The world of 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Dark Souls is a harsh and uncaring place. During your playthrough, there’s almost never a feeling of being completely safe. The only form of sanctuary comes from the few NPCs who don’t attack you on-site but even they aren’t immune to the surrounding horrors. However, there’s one NPC who shines (both literally and figuratively) above the rest and that’s 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Solaire of Astora.
He quickly gained popularity among the Dark Souls community for h♑is upbeat attitude, distinct appearance, and 🌜power in combat. Considering how much faith and strength one would need to be so positive in such a bleak situation, a game following Solaire’s journey to that point would draw a lot of attention.
7 Lady Yunalesca (Final Fඣan𒈔tasy X/X-2)
JRPGs are no stranger to long and intricate storylines nor to characters to populate them. Since you’re frequently in the company of multiple creative characters, it’s not easy to single one of them out. Still, there’s one character to appear in the 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Final Fantasy 10 universe who carries a lot oꦏf significance. In this world, the people are plagued by a massive destructive creature kওnown as Sin and only a summoner has the power to vanquish it.
Lady Yunalesca was the first summoner to do so and it was her who established a reliable albeit non-permanent way of dealing with the problem. Considering all the traditions that ha🥃ve been put in place when the current heroes set off to defeat Sin, it would be very interesting to experience Yunalesca’s adventure and discover how and why she decided to create this cycle.
6 🍰 Handsome Jack (Borderlands) 💛
When it comes to putting a comedic spin on the idea of exploring a wasteland environment, 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Borderlands has that covered in spades. With promises of treasure and glory from a mysterious vault, that’s all the motivation anyone needs to go hunting for it. After a successful campaign in the first game, 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:the hunters have returned and are pestered by a charismatic yet completely ruthless figure named H🔯andsom𝓡e Jack.
Jack has dedicated his time to taking over Hyperion, a corporation with such influence that it essentially grants him control over the planet Pandora. He becomes a dictator and your quest is to eliminate him in hope🐬s of restoring peace while he hounds you throughout your journey. He’s an important and detailed character; it would be worthwhile to play and see how he attained such power.
5 The Boss (Metal♉ Gear Solid 3𒆙: Snake Eater)
The 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Metal Gear series is one of the most prolific titles in gaming, though it’s at risk of fading away without Hideo Kojima’s guidance. Throughout the series, the main character has almost always been an agent known as Snake or one of his various clones. The most quintessential Snake is 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:the one bearing the title of Big Boss🔥 who would feature prominently among the different games.
St𒆙ill, Big Boss earned his title by defeating his mentor called The Boss and deciding to carry on her mission. The Boss’s most significant appear💫ance is in Snake Eater, but not much is known about her. Since she would go on to train arguably the most powerful figure in the Metal Gear universe, it’s about time there was a game about her origins.
4 Citra (Far Cry ༺3)
Before there was the frustrating difficulty of Dark Souls, there was Far Cry. This game was defined by beautiful sprawling environments and the fact that enemies could detect you from the other side of the planet. Since then, the games have become more sophisticated and fairer to the player giving them more chances through stealth and tactics. In Far Cry 3, you play an American tourist who is tasked to save his ♚friends from a ruthless criminal.
Possessing no survival instincts, you must learn the ways of the warrior from the indigenous people and their enigmatic leader, Citra. She plays an important role in helping the hero become stronger yet her character is not explored much. It would be worthwhile to have a game that sees Citra’s rise 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:to strength and leadership.
3 Sten (Dragon Age: Origins) 🌼
Fantasy is a realm with a lot of established conventions and dragons are one of the most common. Despite this, the 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Dragon Age series isn’t centered around dragons 𒐪but rather a chosen hero and their companions as they strive to thwart dangerous plots (which may involve dragons). After the first two games, it was finally time to explore the start of it all with Dragon Age: Origins and the characters that came b🅰efore.
One of the most prominent and intriguing characters is Sten, a Qunari willingly imprisoned for a crime he believes he committed. Aside from his candor and stoic sense of honor, Sten is 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:a valuable party member who offers a lot to the team and story. Even though he’s a very r🐬eserved character, the mystery of his background and his skills as a warrior deserve to be delved into further.
2 ಞ Ganondorf (The Legend Of Zelda)
Trying to understand 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:The Legend Of Zelda chronology is like trying to connect the dots in the dark: Impossible at worst and loosely coherent at best. Even so, the three recurring figures are the hero Link, the sage Zelda, and 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:the villain Ganondorf. Though there have been a few games that try to explore Ganondorf’s origins, they ne🌄ver seem to go beyond the fact that he’s simply evil.
The Gerudo, the r𝔍ace he hails from, has shown to be an ancient civilization with their own culture, practices, and contributions to the world of Hyrule. Taking this into account, there’s more to Ganondorf’s history than what we’re seeing and it’s time to see more.
1 🐟 Elizabeth (Bioshock: Infinite)
If there’s a game that makes you feel like you’re the most vulnerable thing in it, it’s Bioshock. Sure it gives you plenty of weapons and powers to fight back, but you’re lucky if you emerge from combat with some healt💞h and ammo leftover. When Infinite came around, the environment was made to be less daunting if a bit more confusing and chaotic.
As Booker DeWitt, you’re sent in to retrieve a woman named Elizabeth who has the power to open rifts between dimensions. Though both characters and their relationship are developed throughout the story, you barely get 🍎to scratch the surface of Elizabeth’s powers. It’d be interesting and exciting to play something that makes full use of them.
