Of course, you can't talk about '90s shooters without talking about id Software. Id were the masterminds behind the precedent-setting Doom, and after they released that game-changer, they dropped another banger with Quake.
This game was a little slower and more atmospheric than its predecessor, which focused on white-knuckle action. Moreover, Quake represented a huge technological leap, introducing real-time 3D rendering as opposed to Doom's mixture of 3D and 2D. It's a true classic that holds up in its remastered edition, which even 💞adds new content.
6 💜 Crysis Remastered
