Final Fantasy VII Remake might still be a few months away, but fans will have a chance to experience the conflict between Cloಞud and Sephiroth in an upcoming two-playeꦅr starter pack for the Trading Card Game.

Final Fantasy VII has been a major part of the Final Fantasy Trading Card Game since the beginning, with the first starter deck being focused on Cloud Strife and his allies. The original Cloud set was a Fire/Earth deck that used a mixture of Final Fantasy VII heroes and generic job units from Final Fantasy Tactics and Final Fantasy III.

A new double set of starter decks starring Cloud and Sephiroth from Final Fantasy VII Remake will be released on February 28 and has revealed the cards that will appear in each deck. The Cloud Strife set is a Fire/Earth deck that uses a mixture of Final Fantasy VII heroes and generic job units. The decklist includes three Clouds, six Vincents, two Wedges, three Jessies, two Miners, two Marlenes, three ꦓTitans, three Barrets, three Red XIIIs, three Tifas, three Zacks, three SOLDIER: 3rd Class cards, three Red Mages, two Black Mages, three Sages, three Phoenix cards, and three Aerith cards.

The Sephiroth deck is a mixture of Ice/Lighting cards. The decklist includes six Sephiroths, three Azuls, three Angeal Penance cards, two Red Mages, two Restrictors, two Reno cards, two Reeves, three Ramuhs, three Don Corneos, three Cait Sith cards, three DGS Trooper 1st Class cards, six Deepground Sold💙iers, six Black Mages, three Shivas, and three Kadaj cards.

The delay of Final Fantasy VII Remake hit a lot of people hard, but it didn't slow the card game down one bit. The Cloud/Sephiroth starter decks would have been released around the original release date of Final Fantasy VII Remake, but the delay has pushed the two almost a month apart. We can only hope that the love for Cloud & Sephiroth is such that fans are still curious to check out the starter decks without the promotional might of Final Fantasy Remake backing them up.

The Cloud vs Sephiroth Two Player Starter Set will be released on February 28th, while Final Fantasy VII Remake will be released for PlayStation 4 on April 10.
