Over the last decade, FromSoftware's 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Souls series has become one of the most recognizable in video game history. From its debut on PlayStation 3 with Demon's Souls to the highly anticipated 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Elden Ring, it's hard to imagine any modern platform without at least one game from the Souls series available.
Since the very beginning, there have also been a number of collector's editions for the most dedicated fans, which include various physical items they can enjoy. But not all collector's editions are created equal, and some have been better than others depending on which game they were made for.
This list only includes those referred to as Collector's Editions by name or equivalent editions if the name is not used, or special and more expensive editions. Limited and launch editions are not included.
14 Bloodborne Collector's Edition
This collector's edition set for 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Bloodborne came with a steelbook case, a digital soundtrack download, and an art book with exclusive concept art. No figure, no game guide, no extra trinkets or doodads, and no in-game digital bonuses - just the standard collector's edition fare. While it was a good choice for Souls fans who might not have room for figures and statues, it could've included something else special to have it stand out and give fans more incentive to buy it.
13 💙 Demon Soul🌱s: Black Phantom Edition
The only reason this first entry in the Souls series is so low on the list is that it also came with a soundtrack and artbook, which is expected with collector's editions these days. The 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Demon's Souls: Black Phantom Edition did come withཧ a strategy guide, however, which was great for those having a hard time getting used to ✤the gameplay.
Still, for the collector's edition of the first game in a series, it could have been a lot worse, as the PlayStation 5 remake didn't even get one, 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:instead receiving a digital deluxe ed🍸ition.
12 Dark Souls: Collector's Edition
Besides the expected artbook, soundtrack, and special box, the collector's edition of Dark Souls is notable for also containing a game guide and a Behind The Scenes Making Of disc (a digital download for the US version). After all the debate around 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:game difficulty, it's nice to see that even FromSoftware want to help players have an enjoyable experience. It's unfortunate that including behind-the-scenes footage didn't continue, but these days fans can find plenty of Making Of featurettes on YouTube thanks to the , as well as channels like .
11 Dark Souls 2: Collector's Edition
Another Collector's Edition with a special box, art book, soundtrack, and map but this time with a Warrior Knight figure. It's rather unimpressive for a Collector's Edition, and even the display box doesn't look great when compared to the others. This is interesting to look back on now since Dark Souls 2 has been considered by many fans to be the worst of the series - it's almost as if the subpar Collector's Edition was a warning.
10 Elden Ring Collector's Edition
With how highly anticipated Elden Ring has been since its initial announcement, it's no surprise it has a collector's edition. This edition comes with the expected steelbook case, art book, and soundtrack, along with a Malenia The Blade of Miquella figure. Not the most noteworthy Collector's Edition, and relatively predictable by this point, but at least people who like Malenia's design can get a figure of her.
The box that comes with the Collector's Edition also looks more elegant than previous ones, so fans can at least look forward to having that to display. Let's hope the game lives up to the hype.
9 Dark Souls 3 Collector's Edition US
The third entry in the beloved series, this once again came with all the expected trinkets that players would find in the previous collector's editions. This time featuring a Red Knight statue, this collector's edition also came with a small Prima starter guide, which seemed like a bit of a waste to older fans but was maybe helpful for fans who chose Dark Souls 3 as their entry point into the series. It may have been somewhat lacklustre but, on the bright side, at least it didn't come with a .
8 Sekiro Collector's Edition
Sekiro may be known for its difficulty and more aggressive combat, but its collector's edition was relatively humble when compared to others. The steelbook case, art book, and digital soundtrack are all present and accounted for, while the bonus items include a 7" Shinobi statue, a map, and three Sengoku Era game coins. The figure itself looks fine, and maps had come with plenty of collector's editions at that point, but coins? It's something different at least, but it might have been better to include items that wouldn't get lost so easily.
7 🐎 Dark Souls 3 Collector Edition UK🔯
The UK Collector Edition of Dark Souls 3 actually had a few differences from the US version. A different and arguably-cooler steelbook case, three iron-on patches instead of the Prima starter guide, and an art book of the entire Dark Souls trilogy rather than just an art book of Dark Souls 3. Maybe not all fans use iron-on patches, or maybe this encouraged fans to start patch collecting as a hobby. Either way, it's at least something different that longtime fans will maybe use, rather than a starter guide they don't feel the need to read through.
6 Dark Souls 3 Prestige Edition 🍌
The UK was also lucky enough to get the Prestige Edition, which came with everything included in the Collector's Edition as well as a fancier collector's box and a 15-inch figure of Yhorm the Giant, just called Lord of Cinder here. Adding another figure isn't exactly surprising, but it is appropriately the biggest figure featured in any of these Collector's Editions so far. For the sake of everyone's shelves, let's just hope these Collector's Editions figures don't get any bigger.
5 Elden Ring Premium Collector's Edition
Only available for purchase on the Bandai Namco online store, the Premium Collector's Edition of Elden Ring also comes with a 1:1 scale replica of Malenia's helmet alongside everything featured in the regular Collector's Edition.
The helmet has not yet been confirmed to be wearable, but it's always interesting to see something different in these Collector's Editions. If it's wearable, it could also be a fast-track option to cosplaying Malenia.
