For fans looking to upgrade Control to the PS5 or Xbox Series X, Remedy announced today that the only way to do i🌺t is by owning tꦚhe Ultimate Edition.
The Control: Ultimate Edition comes with the base game and its first two DLC packs, The Foundation and AWE. The Ultimate Edition is out on August 27 on the Epic Games Store, Xbox One, and PS4. The new version of the game launches on the same day as the second DLC expansion, Control: AWE. The Ultimate Edition costs $꧅39.99, which is a good deal for one of the best games of 2019.
One of the biggest questions surrounding the next generation has been backward compatibility. Xbox is offering Smart Delivery, which helps upgrade and optimize Xbox One games to Xbox Series X. PS4 games are also getting a free upgrade to PS5, but not many details about how next-gen upgrades work yet.
