If you’re a fan of merfolk, you’re in for a treat. You won’t be able to interact with the merfolk right away, they're something you’ll have to unlock. It’s understandable that they may be a little leery of humans, after the havoc that was wreaked on their habitat by pollution.
How To Gain Access To Diving
To gain access to merfolk in the game, you can't just swim. You need to be able to dive underwater for extended periods of time.
To gain access to diving waypoints, you should 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:unlock the Lake Temple. Make sure you donate one complete bundle. It can be the Essential Resources bundle, which is the easiest to complete.
As you progress in the game, you'll be given a quest called 'Into the Ocean.' If you want to get started on unlocking merfolk, complete that quest as soon as possible.
You'll get a diving suit as part of the quest, and learn how to dive. Make sure to harvest plenty of green seaweed when you're diving, so you can restore your stamina.
The diving spot won't be accessible until you've progressed enough and received the quest.
Activate Solar Orbs To Heal Coral Sites
The next step to unlocking merfolk is to activate 20 solar orbs. The solar orbs are under piles of trash, so you'll have to use your sickle to remove the trash.
This can be very time-consuming, and will drain stamina quite a bit. You'll want plenty of food to help restore stamina and make the most of your diving time.
You'll be kicked out of your dive at 23:00 hours, even though you still have a few more hours before you'll pass out. You should arrive closer to your last location the next time you dive though, so you at least won't need to go through everything you've already done.
If you're not in a hurry to unlock the merfolk, Winter would be a great season to do this task. You'll have fewer farming duties, and can spend more ti♏me during your days diving and making decent progressไ.
Follow Retreating Roots
Once you activate 20 solar orbs, your next task will be to follow the black oily-looking roots that move away as you approach. You'll want to keep clearing trash away, and activate all the solar orbs you can find as you go.
As you continue to activate more solar orbs, more of the map will be available for you to explore. Keep cleaning and following the roots to discover the Merfolk Kingdom gate.
Use vortex bombs and consider upgrading your sickle to make this task easier. If you're planning this for Winter, start making glass and scrap ahead of time so you'll have plenty of supplies for bombs.
How To Open The Merfolk Kingdom Gate
If you haven't already activated all the solar orbs in the available areas, you should finish that task. Retreating roots will cover the gate until you've successfully activated all the necessary orbs.
Any orbs you may have missed will show gray indicators on the ocean map, instead of the yellow ones for solar orbs that are activated. Once you've activated all the orbs, the retreat𝓡ing roots sho🍬uld be gone from the gate.
You can approach the gate now, and you'll notice there's still a wall blocking access to the Merfolk Kingdom. There is a puzzle to unlock the gate, but it's quite simple.
Puzzle Solution:
To solve the puzzle, match the shapes in the correct order that is displayed on the wall. Float over the corresponding images on the floor to activate them in the following order:
- Right
- Left
- Down
- Up
Rewards For Unlocking Merfolk Kingdom
Unlocking the Merfolk Kingdom is probably reward enough by itself, but you'll also get 500 coral coins for completing this quest. Additionally, there are a few quick quests you'll get directly after to explore the kingdom and venture into the Deep Sea.
You'll get a stamina fruit from one of those quests, which gives you a permanent stamina increase.
