One of these key skills is Diving. You unlock it in the early stages, and once you do, it opens up a whole new aquatic world for you to explore beneath the waves. Here's how to master this dynamic skill and use it to your advantage.
How To Unlock Diving
You'll unlock the Diving skill after receiving a letter in the mail from Ling, the lab technician who wants to meet you at t🐠he Diving Pier.
Travel down to the beach by going through the exit at the bottom of your farmyard. Follow the path down to the beach and run across it to your right until you reach a large wooden pathway structure. Climb the steps, traverse the platform, and when you see the Diving sign, run to the end of the pier and interact with the ladder to go Diving.
Managing Your Stamina Underwater
Like any other skilled task, clearing trash with your scythe to forge a path across the seabed really takes a toll on your stamina bar. If you find it depleting faster than you can complete your objectives, you can collect seaweed and craft scuba snacks to give yourself a huge stamina boost as well as a diving skill buff that grants you an extra ten percent speed when carrying out skills underwater.
You can also snack on a variety of underwater goodies to give you a smaller boost, but these items are better off being sold for cash via the shipping bin, in order to give your Diving skill a real b🌠oosꦰt.

You can also collect coffers and kelp, which can be refined by the blacksmith or with your Extractor in order to get entirely new items and resources.
Finding And Activating Orbs
Your goal under the sea sounds simple enough: clear trash and litter piles to unearth the deactivated orbs.
When you find an orb, it will float up gently from the sand and give off a sound cue. Then, it drifts over to one of the underground altars before activating a buried pillar that glows with a warm yellow light.
You'll even find something else down here after traveling deep enough: a mermaid colony, with at least two confirmed mermaids🌟 to befriend.
To access all 20 orbs, you'll need to frequently come back and work on clearing the trash, gathering seaweed and kelp, and feeding the demanding sea turtles who block your path and can only be sated with strangely-specific snacks that change with the seasons. You'll swim to some far-off places, but don't forget to keep an eye on the time and head back to the anchor before 11pm.
