As far as 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Core Keeper bosses go, Ghorm the Devourer is likely the first one that comes to most players' minds. Everyone remembers their first encounter with the massive bug that destroys everything in its path. Ghorm takes up almost the entire screen, and almost nothing stops this crawling titan.

Defeating Ghorm is necessary to power the Core and complete the game, so players will need to find some way to bring him down. It's easier than it looks to slay Ghorm and claim his horn - doing so just takes some setup.

Core Keeper is still in early access as of this article's publication. The information below may be subject to change as the game is developed.

Where To Find Ghorm The Devourer

core keeper tunnel larva boss

Ghorm travels endlessly in a wide circle around the Core. Travel far enough in any direction, and you'll eventually find his tunnel. The floor is covered in slime and tilled dirt that Ghorm leaves in his wake, so there's no mistaking the overgrown larva's lair.

Whenever Ghorm is nearby, the ground will shake. The tremors can be felt about two screens away from Ghorm's location, but he moves quickly enough that they will fade as he passes by. If you're in the tunnel when a quake signals Ghorm's approach, dig into the wall immediately. Getting crushed by Ghorm is guaranteed to kill your character, and your only de🐲fense is to stay out of his way

How To Beat Ghorm The Devourer

core keeper ghorm the devourer spike trap strategy

Ghorm ignores everything around him and stays on a preset path. There is nothing that can get Ghorm's attention or cause him to deviate from the tunnel. The good news is, that means Ghorm will never deliberately attack you. On the flip side, Ghorm flattens everything in his path as though it wasn't there.

You might be able to get a few hits in by waiting on the side of the tunnel and attacking Ghorm as he passes, but you'll never deal enough damage to kill him this way. By the time he comes back around, he will have regenerated any lost HP. He's also too fast to chase. Slaying the giant bug requires laying a trap.

Once you've built a Tin Workbench you can create Spike Traps. These handy devices are one-use floor tiles that deal 51-61 damage to the enemy that triggers them. Best of all, player 🥃characters can walk over them without setting them off.

By setting a large cluster of Spike Traps in Ghorm's tunnel you can easily use the boss's own momentum to destroy him. Ghorm has 3,660 HP, so at minimum you'll need 72 traps. That way, if each trap somehow only rolls the minimum damage they will still deal enough combined damage to reduce Ghorm's HP to zero. Spike Traps cannot be salvaged, so be sure you have enough Tin stocked up that the traps don't drain your supply.

Setting The Trap

Pick an area along Ghorm's route that is far away from your base. Preferably you'll want to find a spot where you can mine or fish nearby as you wait for Ghorm to show up. Once Ghorm passes by, eliminate any surviving mobs in the area then lay your traps in the middle of the tunnel. Build the trap cluster so that it goes across the tunnel -♛ it should be 🍌wide rather than long, as this reduces the chance that Ghorm will attack you before dying.

When the traps are laid, equip your shovel and dig up any ground slime in the area. This is to prevent slimes from spawning and setting of traps prematurely. It's not likely to happen, but it's better to be prepared.

With the traps in place, simply wait nearby for Ghorm to pass again. He sh🐈ould run right into the spikes and perish qu𝔉ickly.

Overkill is necessary for this strategy because if your steel traps fail to stop Ghorm you'll be in for a world of hurt. Getting Ghorm down to about half his health is enough to actually provoke him into attacking you, which you do not want to happen under any circumstances. Ghorm will pursue you through walls, potentially destroying your base or opening pꦗaths 🍸to dangerous areas.

Ghorm is only dangerous if you get in his way or provoke him, so don't attempt to trap him until you're ready. This means crafting any Tin items you need and having a reserve for repairs before you start mass-producing Spike Traps. Exceptionally patient players who wait until they can drill for Tin will have no trouble squashing the giant bug.
