Morpha The Aquatic Mass is an optional boss in 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Core Keeper's Sunken Sea. Giant slimes might seem like old hat by the time you reach her, but this is one gelatinous giant that's not to be underestimated. Evading Morpha's attacks is much more difficult than it seems, and she seeds the arena with plentiful hazards to trip you up.
Defeating Morpha yields some potent rewards, so if you can master the strategy required for this boss fight you can walk away with great gear. Here's everything you need to know about taking down the big blue blob.

How To Find Morpha The Aquatic Mass
Morpha resides on a large island somewhere in the Sunken Sea. Like everything else in Core Keeper, the boss's location is different in each world. Morpha's island is distinguished by the large amount of limestone restricting the number of places you can land your boat. As you might expect, there will also be plenty of blue slime covering the ground and telltale tremors each time the boss bounces nearby.
You don't need to meticulously comb the entire ocean to find Morpha. Instead, you can battle Slippery Slimes until you've collected ninety units of the blue slime they drop. Blue Ground Slime can also be converted into regular blue slime at the Distillery Table.
You can exchange the blue slime along with Mechanical Parts and Ancient Crystals at the hologram projector to create Morpha Scanner. Using the scanner in the Sunken Sea will reveal Morpha's location on the map.
The hologram projector is crafted at the Hive Mother statue near the core once it's powered on.
Morpha's island has thick walls, so you may need to dig through the limestone to reach her. By the time you're sailing around the Sunken Sea you probably have an Octarine Pickaxe, so this shouldn't be an issue, but if you've been holding off now is the time to upgrade.
How To Beat Morpha The Aquatic Mass
Like 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Glurch The Abominous Mass and 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Ivy The Poisonous Mass before her, Morpha slowly bounces around smashing anything in her way. Every third jump or so she pauses to unleash a torrent of bubbles. These bubbles are identical to the ones fired by the giant crabs of the Sunken Sea; they remain on the battlefield for a long time, deal damage on contact, and inflict slippery movement. Between the bubbles and the generous amounts of blue slime all over t🐻he ground, keeping your movement under control will be the main challenge of this boss battle.
Since Morpha fires bubbles very rapidly, you'll want to use ranged attacks during the fight. Fighting at melee range might deal more damage, but it puts you at a severe risk of getting heavily damage by bubbles and then squished by the boss's next jump.
The easiest way to defeat Morpha is to farm Slippery Slimes until they drop the Slime Helm. This can be done by either hunting them in the wild or 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:building a blue slime ranch at one of your bases. While exploring the Sunken Sea, open every Shell Chest you find until you receive the Slime Armor. Equipping both pieces of equipment at the same time will render you immune to slippery movement, allowing you to move through Morpha's arena much more easily. With less risk of sliding into Morpha's bubbles or getting stuck under her when she jumps, you can simply whittle her down with ranged attacks until she is defeated.
The small ponds of water around the edges of Morpha's lair can block your movement, preventing you from escaping one of the boss's attacks. Try to start the fight by covering them with bridges to keep your maneuver options open.
It's still possible for Morpha to land on you and deal considerable damage, so preparing with items that increase your dodge chance such as the Caveling ID from the Forlorn Metropolis will help you survive. As always, bring plenty of Greater Healing Potions, Stoneskin Potions, and Guardian Potions to ensure that you're in top defensive shape.
