RGB lighting is one of the coolest ways to add customization and personality to your gaming set up. From PC hardware like fans and coolers to peripherals like mice and keyboards, there are already so many ways to add color to your set up. While many of these devices come with RGB as little more than an obligatory "gamer" feature, the new Smart Lighting Towers from Corsair intentional, sophisticated RGB ac♛cessories that take lighting to the next level.

There are a few different ways to use the Lighting Towers depending on the look you're going for, but in essence, these are 15" towers with an RGB base and 26 individually-addressable RGB lights. While devices like keyboards and headphones are accented with RGB, the Lighting Towers have the power to fill spaces with color, paint surfaces wi📖th light, and completely reshape your gaming environment in an instant. If you're looking for that next level way to turn you🍸r office into a legit game room, Corsair's Lighting Towers are the easiest way to make a huge impact.

Creating An Environment To Game

Over the last several months of work from home, my lighting configuration has become something of a pet project. After fine-tuning my PC hardware, building up the lighting profile around my gaming space has been piece by piece has been an endlessly fun way to continue customizing. Working from home has merged my workspace and my gaming space and I decided to use different 🅰RGB profiles to help me separate work and play. The Lighting Towers have been the best tool ever for instantly creating a space for game time.

The starter set comes with 2 towers, which I placed on either side of my monitor, as I expect most people would. The towers snap into the wired and are reversible, meaning they can plug in either facing you or facing away. I set mine up facing away in order to paint the wall behind my monitor with color. I found that 𒊎facing the lights towards me was a bit distracting, and there's no way to adjust the brighꦛtness. The towers connect with a flat RGB cable, and the system can include 2 additional towers, up to 4, through the addition of expansion kits.

The Lighting Towers require AC power and a USB connection to your PC, unless you just want to use the 11 presets. T🐻he AC adapter it that long kind that blocks multiple spots on your power strip unless you put it at the very end. If you already have a cable occupying that last spot on the power strip, you may have to get creative, as I did.

Fortunately, once you get everything connected properly, operating the lights is a breeze. All of the towers sync automatically and there's a button on the main tower that can be used to cycle through the preset patterns, or you can use Corsair's iCUE software to customize eachꦺ one town to the individual lights.

I love the effect that the Lighting Towers provide, though it wasn't exactly what I expected. The thin, low-profile towers provide a fairly narrow cast. While beautifully diffused, it isn't very easy to get a nice even fill on your background, if that's what you're going for. At about 1 foot away from my wall, parallel with my monitor, each tower is able to fill a 3'x3' area with significant fall🦩-off outside of that. Don't expect the Lighting Towers to flood, in other words.

What they do provide is a splash of color that, when combined with other iCUE enabled devices, creates a beautiful consistent lighting profile that extends out of your pe⛄ripherals and into the space that surrounds you.

iCUE Ties Everything Together

It isn't hard to find gaming accessories with RGB — it's probably harder to find one's without RGB — but𓆉 combining all of the parts into seamless system that works together and (more importantly) looks good is the real challenge.

An ideal RGB environment is one that effectively creates a mood without becoming overbearing or distracting, and Corsair's iCUE software gives you the ꧒control you need to create the perfect lighti🔜ng system.

I've written about how intuitive and easy to use the 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:iCUE system is before, but one additional benefit is how easy it 🅺is to add new devices to the ecosystem. The software identifies the Lighting Towers immediately and with ꦯjust a few clicks you can have the towers sync up with your lighting plan, or (if you're a tinkerer like me) dive in a customize every detail of the pattern from the color of every light to the speed and style of the pattern. The iCUE hub makes me want to add more and more iCUE devices because of how easy it is to program.

Painting With Light

The LT100 Lighting Towers may look like fancy headphone stands (which they can be with the included headset holder) but they're really so much more than a peripheral with lights. The Lighting Towers create immersive gaming environments without the need for the kind of expensive, complicated professional lights you see on big time Twitch streams. The Lighting Towers have had a transformඣative effect on my gaming space by turning a mild-mannered office desk (by day) into a super-powered battle station at night. Corsair's LT100 Lighting Towers are the ultimate way to bring energy and atmosphere into your gaming environment.

An LT100 Lighting Tower Starter Set and LT100 Expansion Kit was provided to TheGamer for🍷 this review. You can learn more about the Lighting Towers on .
