With so many years without a main entry, there was a good reason to put "It's About Time" in the title. 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Crash Bandicoot made a beওautiful return with remakes and a full new entry in the series,🐎 continuing from where Crash Warped stopped.
Among many new things added into the fourth entry, one that brought up a lot of attention is that Crash and Coco aren't the only playable characters. With four (technically five) playable characters, it always begs the question of how they work and who is the best one to play as. While the best character might be obvious, all secondary characters added control wonderfully, bound to give you a good (and difficult) time.
4 ꦦ Dr. Neo Cortex 💮
To be fair, the only reason he's the worst is that someone has to be the worst. That said, his controls are excellent, and he offers an interesting approach to playing his levels. He loses compared to others due to a small technicality, though. While he can only perform a single jump, he has a powerful dash sending him in whatever direction you're pointing at. He also has the power to control enemies into regular or bouncing platforms, which makes you wonder which option will be better at the moment. His dash can be very fun due to how easy it is to use. It's also good to get used to it since Time Trials will force you to dash constantly.
The technical issue here is that sometimes, aiming in this game can be a bit of a problem, especially when you have to aim diagonally. It's a small and situational issue, and the other secondary characters can feel that, too, since they also aim from time to time. However, Cortex is more dependent on his aiming than others since you'll constantly be shooting to turn enemies into platforms. This aiming sometimes affects when he dashes diagonally, which is why he falls in the end. If it weren't for that, he could've been one or two entries higher.
3 🍬 ﷽ Tawna Bandicoot
Excellent movement and a very useful hook for both traversal and getting hidden crates. This Tawna is from a darker timeline - Community style (even with blue hair), making her a more independent character compared to the version of Tawna we're all used to. It wouldn't be surprising if this character is one of the fan base's favorites when it comes to gameplay.
The only thing that restricts her a bit is that, for a new character, she plays too similar to the main Bandicoots. Aside from her unique grappling hook, their moveset is almost the same, and the other differences make her worse; She can't crawl, and her attack only hits the direction she's facing (and also slows her down, which makes Time Trials with her more difficult). If the idea was not to alter as much, then perhaps Crash and Coco could've used the hook.
Still, she added an interesting layer to the game's plot. As mentioned, she comes from a darker timeline, where her versions of Crash and Coco are dead. Her presence and how she takes care of the duo, making sure she won't lose them again, is heartwarming, to the point that it would've been fun to 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:delve into the idea 🔯even more than the game did.
2 Dingodile
One of our favorite villains is now redeemed. Well, sort of. He's just here for the ride, actually. Though he offers little to the plot, his gameplay is unique, setting him apart from both the protagonists and the other secondary characters.
His movement is a bit slower, which can be seen as annoying or a good change of pace. Instead of his signature flamethrower, he has a sort of vacuum cannon that allows him to suck crate💦s from afar and even some small enemies. It can also suck TNT crates that can be later thrown into🃏 enemies, allowing you to kill or destroy things from great distances. Just be careful not to suck a Nitro crate in the process.
The vacuum also allows him to hover for a while, compensating for his lack of double jump. His spin is also very powerful, maybe even more than Crash's and Coco's, due to his bigger size. You can destroy whole sets of crates in a single strike, though you'll miss the satisfaction of destroying them one by one with the vacuum.
1 𝓰 Crash And Coco Ba🐼ndicoot
Come on, what did you expect? Of course, they're the best ones to play with. The game is molded after their gameplay. The controls are also better than they've ever been, rivaling the original trilogy's gameplay with ease.
They've got a double jump from the get-go, an interesting time window between the slide and the jump that allows you to be temporarily in the air before jumping, and four different masks you can find across the levels that give you temporary special powers.
Some levels even require you to change between these powers in quick succession, 1ꦰ68澳洲幸运5开奖网:increasing the difficulty significantly. They also have the o꧂ccasional jet board and mounts🌳 in a few levels, which adds even more diversity to their gameplay.
At the end of the day though, all characters control extremely well, and alternating between them from time to time breaks the repetitiveness. In fact, the other characters could've gotten more levels, and it's curious to think what characters could become playable in the future.
