The arrival of Crash Team Racing Nitro Fueled is fast approa𝕴ching, and we now know what extras we'l⛄l get with the Nitros Oxide Edition of the game.

We currently live in a time where long-awaited sequels and remastered remakes are the in-thing. That goes for the movie, TV, and gaming worlds. One of the best-selling games of 2017 was the remastered re-releas🙈e of the original Trilogy. Two years later, and Activi🔯sion is getting set to capitalize on that momentum once again.

As with anything nowadays, as soon as we get something, we want to know what's next. Soon after players got their hands on the N. Sane Trilogy, they wanted to know if we would ever get a remastered version of Crash Team Racing. Well, that question was answe🧸red in December 2018. We are, and we now have less than two months to wait until its release.

Just to𓄧 whet our🌃 appetites, an ad for the Nitros Oxide Edition of the game was released on Twitter this week. The special edition of the game features a whole host of additional characters and skins. The additional characters are Nitros Oxide (naturally), Crunch Bandicoot,  Zem, and Zam. The skins include Star versions of Crash, Coco, Dr. Cortex, and Nitros Oxide, as well as a robotic skin for Crunch.

Hardcore Crash fans will be quick to point out that Oxide was not a playable character in the original game. Plus, Crunch, Zem, and Zam didn't appear at all. Well, even though Nitro Fueled will be a remake, we want it to be at least a little better th𒅌an the original game, right? The more playable characters the better if you ask us.

Even though the Nitros Oxide edition goes against the premise of the original CTR and forces you to pay for extra characters and content, we have one last piece of good news. If you want all of the a🧸bove but don't want to fork out the cash for it, you don't have to. As is noted in the small print at the very end of the ad, all of the additional characters and skins will also be available in the standard version of the game, you'll just have to unlock them via completing chal🦩lenges. Just like in the good old days.
