You know it, I know it, Activision knows it. Thanks to a tease o♛n a press kit pizza box back in October, Crash fans are expecting some kind of announcement at The Game Awards next week, with most signs pointing towards it being the long-rumoured Crash multiplayer spin-off (eyyyy), Wumpa League.Yesterday, you might have seen your timelines flooded with everyone's Spotify Wrapped stats. The Crash social media accounts are pretty fond of teasing things within their posts, so that number was instantly suspicious, and for good reason.If you arrange those numbers into a date format, you get 06/20/23, which is June 6, 2023. Even if Wumpa League isn't even officially out yet, it seems that the Crash Twitter account just teased a potential release date for it, one that we'll probably also see if/when it officially gets revealed next week at The Game Awards.For something that we're all so sure exists, there's not much that we actually know about Wumpa League yet, save from what's been teased a few times. The most concrete bit of evidence we have on it comes from gaming journalist Liam Robertson, who shared a video earlier this month of some early development footage of the ﷽game, revealing it to be a competitive platforming multiplayer game, somewhat similar to Fall Guys, except with Crash characters and in wider 3D spaces.
