Rule Of Rose is highly disturbing, with a cast of characters who all have creepy backstories to boot🐠. Jennifer stands out, though, because her story is subject to two separate yet just as unpleasant parts. Jennifer is one of the girls that stayed in the now-closed Rose Garden Orphanage, where she was routinely exposed to degrading tasks, serious harm from both adults and fellow orphans, and mental manipulation.
As if that wasn’t a bad enough origin story, we learn that Jennifer doesn’t immediately get sent to the orphanage after surviving an airship crash that killed her parents. Before all the Rose Garden stuff, Jennifer ౠwas found by the disturbed pea farmer Gregory Wilson. He kept her captive for nearly a year and forced her to take on the persona of his deceased son Joshua. The young girl had to stay in t𝔉his state until Wendy brought her to the horrific orphanage. Some memories should stay locked away.

Although his aversion to patients staying up past their bedtime is already quite creepy, his backstory is a dark tale that really explains much of his motivations for the Big Event.
Dr. Habit grew 𓄧up with parents that were physically abusive, and he suffered from bullying growing up. He would eventually lose his teeth, starting a lifelong obsession with smiles. In his own twisted way, he believes that he is truly making the world a better place and turning frowns into smiles. The reality is that he has spent years stealing teeth, preventing Habiticians from leaving, and practically deforming people.
4 Therese Voerman - Vampiꦛre: The Masquerade Bloodlines 🧸
Therese Voerman is initialౠly known as the level-headed and powerful Baron of Santa Monica, twin to the wilder Jeanette Voerman. Look into her backstory, though, and you’ll find that Therese and Jeanette are actually one vampire with a dissociative identity disorder. It doesn’t end there, though.
While Therese would have you believe that this persona stems from an actual twin sister that she once had before her transformation, Jeanette has always been a mere alter. It is implied that she f🅘ormed this alter to es⛄cape the abuse she received from her father, who she would eventually murder. She would then spend the remainder of her life in a mental institution, until escaping and getting embraced by a Malkavian. It’s a tragic tale that feels creepy to even listen to.

In turn, his mother stitched his 🥂mouth so that he wouldn’t be in trouble. Though his stitches have since come loose, it’s still horrifying to find out how he got them in the first place.
