Hi, Critters! This week's episode of  was quite the journey. With moments involving hackers, a suspicious-tasting flask, an encounter with a powerful foe, and a cameo from the previous campaign, the  show's 102nd ꧃episode of their second campaign was quite eye-opening.

Warning: Spoilers for Campaign 2, Episode 102 of Critical Role ahead!

The Hackers Return!

Nord VPN has sponsored Critical Role again, and this time the ad spot features Laura and Sam surfing the internet as their hacke༺r personas. Some special effects were added for the benefit of the ad, and even Taliesin joined the fun with his own hackeꦕr persona and nailed his performance. This strange continuing storyline that leaves the audience both face-palming and laughing might just continue whenever Nord VPN sponsors the show again.

Sam's Unclean Flask

Fans of the show know that Sam dresses up the humorously ginormous flask that he drinks from every week with jokes, silly pictures, or pop culture references. One might think that with a flask as large as his, it must be difficult to clean it on a regular basis. In this past episode, Sam experienced what it was like to drink from a flask that was not properly cleaned from his previous use, whether that be from the previous week or if he ever uses that drinking vessel outside of Critical Role (which is pretty amusing as well). We hope Sam is doing well and 🉐is not sick from whatever was brewing in his flask.

Warning for slight descriptions of vomiting and bowel movements.

Meet And Greet With Vokodo

The Mighty Nein finally enter the lair of the creature who is controlling the minds of those who live on Rumblecusp. Vokodo is even scarier than they imagined, as the creature forces the party to give it more and more of their "precious" treasures, lest they burn by scalding hot water. This is a very interesting part of the episode, and as creepy and claustrophobic as it might feel to watch such an interaction, it was truly amazing to see how Matt personified this creature into suꦕch a good adversary.

Viridian Is... Who?

Spoilers for Campaign 1 of Critical Role

Many theories as to who Viridian truly is has been circling the internet since she was introduced two episodes ago. As Fjord casts Greater Restoration on the druid, she begins to awaken from her trance and remembers her past. She reveals that she was originally from Tal'dorei (the setting of Critical Role's first campaign, a locati♈on on the opposite side of the planet from the current campaign), before Matt closes the episode to leave suspense for next week.

However, the cast was not having it and persuaded Matt to reveal that Viridian was Keyleth's (Mಌarisha's Campaign 1 character) long lost mother, Vilya, all along. The cast remembers that Keyleth's mom never returned 🐟from her journey and all that was left of her after she disappeared was a missing leg, and Viridian/Vilya had vines replacing one of her legs. Matt admitted that he had been planning this since Campaign 1, several years ago, which is quite incredible and a fascinating tie-in to the previous campaign.
