Smilegate Entertainment offered a fresh look at CrossfireX, showing off updated graphics for three multiplayer maps. According to the devs, everything’s going according to plan, an🍌d the game is about to hit Xbox platforms so💟metime later in 2021.
The executive producer of CrossfireX the latest graphical improvements for the title’s maps, greatly enhanced in detail since the beta to increase the immersion for the players. Maps like Babylon, Invasion, and Babylon Lab will allow for new combat opportunities that have yet to be seen in the Crossfire franchise. The Smilegate team haꦜ🍸s released three new videos for each of the reworked maps, displaying their lightning and shadow enhancements, and impressive new reflections.
In addition to overall better graphics, CrossfireX will also get a new in-game mechanic called the Tactical Growth system. In certain game modes, the players will be able to choose special upgrades for a limited time. These upgrades will grant bonuses for offen🦂se (increased damage), defense (tactical shield), and recovery (health regeneration). The system will allow you to react to the current situation and quickly adapt where necessary. Moreover, some multiplayer modes will get three phases in a rou🐈nd instead of two like in beta.
CrossfireX will consist of two parts: the frꦺee-to-play multiplayer from Smilegate and a premium single-p🔜layer campaign from Remedy, known for its cinematic approach. Despite that the last story trailer was released more than a year ago, the game seems to be shaping up nicely. It will be interesting to see how the studio will handle this project, as Finnish devs made a name for themselves with third-person action titles, while CrossfireX will be your traditional FPS.
Apart from the story campaign for CrossfireX, Remedy Entertainment has plenty of other projects in the works. Originally planned for launch in 2020, CrossfireX is now on track♔ to launch sometime later this year for Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S.
