Ubisoft has confirmed that crossplay and cross-progression are coming to Rainbow Six Siege this year for PC, Stadia and Luna, and in e𝔍arly 2022 for PlayStation and Xbox.
The update came as part of Ubisoft Forward, where Ubisoft announced some of the upcoming quality 🐼of life changes coming to Rainbow Six Siege. In this section of the showcase, they c🐼onfirmed that crossplay and cross-progression are being added to the game.
Crossplay and cross-progression will be coming to PC, Stไadia and Luna on June 30. Crosspaly𝓡 will be available between PlayStation and Xbox in early 2022, whilst Cross-progression will be available across all platforms.
From this announcement, it seems that PlayStation and Xbox will only be able to cross-play with each other and not with PC, although cross-progression will be available across all platforms. That means you can take your account and profile across different platforms, but you won't be able to play every single platfor♔m in matches.
This wasn't the only Rainbow Six announcement that Ubisoft made during the presentation. It also announced a new operator is coming to the game, North Star, and showed o🐻ff a brand new story trailer for them. It also confirmed a release date for Rainbow Six Extraction and showeಌd off the first gameplay for the game. Ub꧑isoft also conꩵfirmed a release date for Rider's Republic after revealin༺g a deep dive into the mechanics for the game.
