Crystal Dynamics ꦐis hiring for someone who can work with a "similar cinematic style to the latest Tomb Raider reboot and Rise of the Tomb Raider".
. The listing appears to be the most recent one on t🍨he careers page and is the only one🐲 that references Tomb Raider in any form.
The rest of the listing doesn't give away much in regards to what game the applicant would be working on, "Crystal Dynamics is looking for a Lighting Artist who has an eye for high-quality, “best in class” lighting and composition for real-time environments. This Lighting Artist will be working on a small but fiercely talented team to bring to life the key moments in our narrative stories, levels and experiences."
However, the specific reference to replicating the style used in the Tomb Raider reboot makes it pretty clear that this is likely to be a new Tomb Raider project from Crystal Dynamics. This isn't some grand reveal either, as Crystal Dyna🎉mics has previously said back in January that it is working on a Tomb Raider game that aims to unify the🐎 classic and reboot games.
This isn't the first time this month that Crystal Dynamics has referenced the next Tomb Raider game either. When announcing that it would be working with The Initiative on Perfect Dark, it ❀said, "We’re thrilled to add Perfect Dark to our development efforts alongside Marvel’s Avengers and Tomb Raider". We've still not seen anything from the next Tomb Raider title, but it's far from a secret.
Crystal Dynamics itself has already told gamers what it's working on with Perfect Dark, Marvel's Avengers, and Tomb Raider, although we've yet to see what's next for most of those projects. Spider-Man coming to Marvel's Avengers is arguably the biggest update we know of for that, whilst Tomb Raider remains una🍨nnounced and Perfect Dark sits in a state of &๊quot;early development".
