Because some Pokemon deserve a second chance.

Pokemon have always come in all shapes and sizes, from the small and vicious to the large and gentle. There aꦏre plenty of these creatures who are adored by people and trainers al💟ike for how pretty or adorable they look. However, despite how they may appear, even the cutest Pokemon can wield tremendous power.

The selections below we🌳re chosen with a large degree of subjectivity, understandable given how difficult it is to be impartial about the appearances of all Pokemon in the world. That said, we aimed to include a mix of unassuming Pokemon that possess starkl🎃y contrasted powerful abilities.

Updated January 27, 2024 by William Quick: With Pokemon Scarlet and Violet still holding up the mainline Pokemon series and Palworld coming in and showing what can be done with Pokemon-like elements, we're looking back at all the little creatures we've come to know. There are so many to keep track of, but there are those that stick out in our minds more than others, especially the cute ones.

Even though they make us smile, they can also have Hidden Power (so to speak) to unleash in battle. Here are some of those Pokemon cuties that know how to throw down.

16 ⭕ Rotom, Doubling As An Accessory

Pokemon Rotom Artwork

If you're like me, then when you first saw Rotom, you didn't think it was a Pokemon. Like, it was not one that you could have on your team, it was just a companion Pokemon. However, I was 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:excited to learn ♒that not only can you have this ethereal spark of energy in your team, bu𝐆t it will be worth your while to get one.

Rotom has the interesting dual-typing of Electric/Ghost, which reduces its counter-types significantly with its ability Levitate taking Ground out of the mix as well. It's a strong Special attacker with good defense and a mix of powerful moves like Discharge and Trick. And yet, its true power comes from the fact that it can change its whole form and type by possessing different appliances to suit your needs.

15 ✤ Goodra, The Goo That Becamꦏe A Dragon

Pokemon Goodra Artwork

When you decide to walk through the swamps and see a little blob of goo, maybe you catch it, maybe you don't. You likely didn't expect this icky-looking creature to grow into a large and adorable creature known as Goodra that was born for sticky hugs. Just remember, it's still a dragon.

Even though Goodra only has a pure Dragon-type to rely on, that doesn't slow it down one bit. It has a high base stat count, excelling in several stats that can allow it to hit hard and take hits as well. It has a good variety of abilities designed to boost its stats in certain situations, while its Hidden Ability Gooey will slow opponents that touch it. It can also trip people up with a varied move set of Water, Grass, and Normal-type moves to learn.

14 🔯 Slowbro, Smiling Without A Care In The World 🔯

Pokemon Slowbro Artwork

Slowpoke is oblivious to many things and there's almost something envious about that. It was one of the first Pokemon to have an interesting dual-typing with Water/Psychic, making us wonder what kind of power it truly wielded. Then it carelessly got bit by a Shellder and, with a goofy smile on its face, became the tougher-than-expected Slowbro.

This is a Pokemon that is both a wizard and a tank, sporting high scores in HP, Defense, and Special Attack, with solid scores in Attack and Special Defense to make it even more threatening. While it doesn't have access to many Water-type moves, it does learn Surf and balances it out with some of the best Psychic attacks a Pokemon can learn. To help it stay in control, Slowbro has the Abilities of Oblivious or Own Tempo to protect its sharper-than-implied mind from 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:things like Intimidate.

13 𒆙 💙 Audino, So Close To Being A Plushie

Pokemon Audino Artwork

Audino is a Pokemon that you don't know what it's supposed to be at first glance. Is it a rabbit? Some kind of bear? An irregular doll based on some animated character you've never heard of? Well, whatever it is, it's sweet, cute, and looks like it wants to be friends. When trained right, it can do a lot to protect its friends.

It may only be a Normal-type, but Audino has good scores spread across its stats with HP being its highest, so it can take more than just one for the team. It fits the support role well with Abilities 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:like Healer and Regenerator to heal its teammates or itself respectively. Even so, the amount of attacking moves it lea﷽rns is quite ridiculous coming from something so sweet. It can learn Take Down, Double-Edge, and Last Reso🐎rt, which is a testament to its destructive power.

12 ꦫ 🌳Mimikyu, It Just Wants To Be Loved

Mimikyu in Pokemon

Quite possibly the most memorable of all the Pikachu clones that are in every generation is Mimikyu. It disguises itself in a Pikachu-like costume, so that people love it, and hides because its true form will scare those who see it. This is an adorable Pokemon, for sure, but it's far from harmless.

This little guy has the amazing offensive type of Ghost/Fairy and the incredible Ability, Disguise, giving Mimikyu a free hit that merely breaks the disguℱise. This💦 means Mimikyu can easily boost its already decent Attack stat with Swords Dance, then begin firing off strong attacks like Wood Hammer, Play Rough, and Shadow Sneak.

11 Chಌansey & Blissey, Extremely Durable Nurses

Chansey And Blissey, Pokemon Origins And Anime Healer Nurse Joy

These two are the grandmothers of all the cute, round, and pink Pokemon. While Blissey came a generation later, Chansey has been 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:a fan favorite since the original games. Depicted as the Nurse Pokemon with an adorable part in the anime, Chans𓆉ey, and lat♔er Blissey, it is hard not to find them adorable.

They're not all about a welcoming face and cute demeanor, though. Both Chansey and Blissey sport incredible HP and Special Defense stats. You can even give the item Eviolite to a Chansey to make it sturdier. When combined with an incredible move pool full of support moves, such as Wish and Thunder Wave, both Chansey and Blissey serve as some of the best special walls in the game.

10 🎃 Whimsicott, The Most Supportive Pokemon You Can Find

Whimsicott jumping into battle in the Pokemon Anime

Speaking of support Pokemon, Whimsicott is among the best you can find. This Grass/Fairy-type is a tiny and adorable cotton ball, making it infinitely huggable. However, it's an absolute menace when it's out on the field.

If you're looking to take down Sca𒅌rlet & Violet's Tera Raids quickly, these Pokemon are a must.

Whimsicott has a great Ability, Prankster. This allows it to use status moves with increased priority. Taunt, Encore, Tailwind, and Sunny Day are already great moves, so 🐎Whimsicott being able to use them with priority makes it an amazing utility option. It almost feels overpowered.

9 🎶Maushold, Strength In Numbers 🙈

The Maushold Family stands together in a grassy part of Paldea.

Maushold is likely among the cutest Pokemon in the Paldean Pokedex. This Generation Nine Pokemon is a family of mice, three or four of them, depending on thꦫe form. While they look very peaceful and harmless, they can wreck an unprepared team by themselves.

Maushold has the Hidden Ability Technician, which increases the damage of weaker moves. Technician is already a decent Ability, but when combined with Maushold's signature move, Population Bomb, it becomes incredible. This is a move that hits up to ten times unless it misses. Each hit has 90 percent accuracy and is boosted by Technician. When combined with either the Wide Lens or King's Rock, Maushold becomes an absolute menace.

8 🍨 Cinccino, Multi-Hitting Rodent

Cinccino smiles while sparkling

Cinccino, another adorable rodent Pokemon, is sort of like Maushold in that it utilizes weak, multi-hit moves. While Cinccino also has access to the ability Technician, it worksꦿ better with the Hidden Ability, Skill🔯 Link.

This ability allows Cinccino to hit the maximum number of times with multi-hit moves such as Bullet Seed, Tail Slap, and Rock Blast. Cinccino has access to the best of these types of moves, so it's sure to dish out devastating damage, especially when paired with an item like Choice Band. If Maushold is a freight train of an attacker, Cinccino acts more as a Swiss Army knife.

7 Klefki, The Most Lovable Keych𓃲ain

Klefki Proudly Shows Off Its Charms

Although the concept of turning houseꦛhold objects into Pokemon isn’t new, it continues to get more obscure. Many would never consider a keychain to be a viable basis for𓄧 such a creature, but Klefki begs to differ. This charming ring-like Pokemon is about the size of the very item it mimics and will happily carry both keys and charms along its body.

It is ready to protect every single🐟 item it is given with every ounce of its strength, of which it has plenty. Though it doesn’t evolve, this Steel/Fairy Pokemon can hold its own in a fight while unleashing special attacks. Its Ability Prankster, combined with an amazing defensive type, makes Klefki an incredible support Pokemon.
