Cyberpunk 2077 will definitely be shown at E3, but a playable version will only have CD Projektꦯ Red employees at the controls.
We know that CD Projekt Red’s magnum opus, Cyberpunk 2077, is coming to E3. Last year, we got to see an unprecedented 1-hour gameplay p🅰review that gave us a first-hand look at what the player will experience in the first portion of the game. This year, we were hoping for a playable demo to tide us over, but it looks like that won’t be the case.
According to CD Projekt Red Global Community Lead Marcin Momot (and first reported by ), there will technically be a playable demo of Cyberpunk 2077 at this ⛄year’s E3, but only CD Projekt Red Employees will be playing it.
"To answer many questions abou🍌t the demo and whether or not @CyberpunkGame will be playable at E3,” wrote Momot. “We are going to be hosting gameplay presentations (game played by us) in that cinema."
CD Projekt Red’s booth will be at the South Hall of the LA Convention Center from J๊une 11th to June 13th. There will be a presentation s♌howing additional footage as well as gameplay demos shown to the public, but nothing that people can actually get their hands on.
Additionally, 💫CD Projekt Red will have a separate demo shown behind closed doors to media insiders. “Won't go into details now but these showings will be different,” explained Momot on a subsequent Twitter post.
While the lack of a playable demo is disappointing, the true boon we’re all hoping for at this year’s E3 is a release date. A 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:leak from last April indicated a potential release of this November, but with no playable demo, it seems unlikely that Cyberpunk 2077 will come out this year.
CD Projekt Red seems to be treading very carefully with Cyberpunk. Unfinished and buggy games have proven to be the downfall of more than one blockbuster game, and Anthem’s woes serve as a cautionary tale for any developer to never release a game before it’s done. And esp꧟ecially not before it can live up to its own hype.
There’s a lot of hype surrounding Cyberpunk 2077. Let’s hope the wait is worth it.
