CD Projekt Red has for Cyberpunk 2077 on all platforms. It only fixes three issues, but one of them was absolutely devastating to folks playing on PC ♏– after installing the patch, files over 8MB will no longer become corrupted.

It's worth mentioning that any files that have already been corrupted by the issue are still going💛 to be corrupted. This hotfix only impacts save files moving forward. Regardless, we're glad to see the problem resolve👍d quickly, as large save files were typically associated with players who had already poured a lot of time into Night City – and there's nothing worse than losing dozens of hours of progress.

Here are the three parts of the patch notes:

Quests

  • Dum Dum won't go missing from Totentanz entrance during the Second Conflict mission.

Console-Specific

  • Memory management and stability have been improved, causing fewer crashes to occur.

PC-specific

  • Removed 8MB save file size limit.

CD Projekt Red continues to issue hotfixes for it's largely broken game, although it's odd to see a PC problem outshine the issues on console.ℱ PC players have – for the most part – been happy with their time in Night City, while console players have had a totally different experience. Random bugs, graphical hiccups, and various performance issues have turned the game into a nightmare for base PS4 and Xbox One users.

Cyberpunk 2077 should be a completely different game in 2021, as the de൩velopers go back to work squashing bugs and optimizing gameplay.
