Due to the long wait, hype created by the marketing, and expectations set by The Witcher 3, many were anticipating 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Cyberpunk 2077 to change the world of gaming. How much it does that is all depenꦏdent on your personal experience and feelings towards the adventure.
Ultimately, it is not reinventing the open-world genre in a way a game like 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Breath of the Wild or 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Grand Theft Auto 3 ꦰdid. However, the game still does🌠 plenty of things right while remaining business as usual in other areas. CD Projekt Red is far from done with the game, though, so we'll be hearing about Cyberpunk 2077 for a long time to come.
10 💯 Like Every Open-World Game: Inconsequential Side Quests
Once the second act starts, you really start getting 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:bombarded with side quests. While a 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:large handful of these a🀅re impressively crafted and given the care one would expect from the developer, plenty of them also feel like irrelevant busywork. Taking out a gang hideout or doing some races still has some extra writing to it, but in terms 🌃of gameplay they sometimes feel like something from an Ubis🅠oft open-world game.
9 Innovati♐ve: Setti🌱ng
Cyberpunk 2077 is not the first open-world game in an urban setting - Grand Theft Auto has exclusively dealt with metropolitan areas - but two things separate it from the crime dramas we are so used to. Firstly, the futuristic time period and cyberpunk themes are at the forefront of the experience. Secondly, the depth and complexity of the mechanics are usually reserved for fantasy worlds or post-apocalyptic wastelands like 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:The Elder Scrolls or 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Wasteland, and not an urban dystopia.
8 Like Ever💦y Open-World Game: Disposable NPCs
It is difficult to expect every NPC to have a life of their own like in Skyrim. While some 𒅌characters in the game world are distiꦇnguished, many of the pedestrians you see on the street are completely disposable.
After playing a game like Red Dead Redemption 2 where so many townsfolk are 🍌unique, it is more notable when people walking down the street🎀 of Night City are lifeless.
7 𝄹 Innovative: Verticality
168澳洲幸运5开奖网:In open-world RPGs people are accustomed to 🐈traversing wi𒁏de expanses of land to reach destinations. Night City and its surrounding areas are huge, but more verticality makes the world denser, lending to the claustrophobic atmosphere. The movement also helps players appreciate this as they vault over obstacles climb the sides of structures.
6 🎶 ♍ Like Every Open-World Game: Perks An Skill Trees
Sometimes a game has to stick with what works. Cyberpunk 2077 retains the use of 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:perks and skill trees like many other large-scale RPGs in the modern era. The choices are more varied than many of its peers, but do not expect a new innovative wa🐼y of progressing through V's stats. It is completely serviceable and you do feel the effects of these improvements immediately.
5 🌳 🧜 Innovative: Immersion And The Player's Interaction With The World
The world feels alive, and this is mostly due to the 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:first-person perspective. Whi꧂le fully customizing V's appearance seems unimportant for a first-person game, you still look into plenty of mirrors and the body is fully visible at all times. The protagonist's animations make you feel more a part of the worldꩵ than in most other games. While many complain about the lack of a third-person option, it makes sense once you start playing.
4 Like Every Other Open-World Game: Bugs Galore 𒉰
The reveal traile🥂r all the way back in 2013 told us the game is coming "when it's ready". Playing it today it is difficult to truly believe these words. Regardless of the platform you play it on, Cyberpunk 2077 is riddled with bugs and glitches.
This is nothing new in open-world RPGs, and even The Witcher 3 had many techn🍸ical issues at launch, but we expected the developer to have learned their lesson already. Unfortunately, the teams making the game do not always have a say about the release date, and we can only hope future patches fix the issues.
3 🔴 Innovaওtive: Quest Variety
Even though a lot of the quests feel pointless at times, the ones with care taken into their stories are notably fleshed-out. The writing and voice acting is at the level you come to expect from the same team that brought you The Witcher 3, only the themes are more reflective of the setting. Many of them are mulﷺti-layered and take you to several different areas of the map. There is no shortage of interesting things to do in Night City.
2 ও Like Every Other Open🌳-World Game: Equipment Options
Players have a lot of choices when it comes to how they deck out their characters, but it is not too different than other open-world RPGs. It all c🌱omes back to more where the game is set than anything unique it does🌌. All of these options are par for the course in high-fantasy settings, but to see it available in a futuristic dystopia is incredibly interesting.
1 🐎 Innovative: Visuals ꧟
Unfortunately, few gamers are able to appreciate the incredible visual presentation. With max settings, the world of Night City is absolutely stunning to behold, thanks to the density of the environment and incredible lighting techniques. On PS4 none of these advancements in tech are evident. Playing on PS5 or 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Series X via backward compatibility improves the graphics and performance somewhat, but it is nothing compare﷽d to what is possible on PC.
