I don't need to tell you about Cyberpunk 2077's disastrous launch. CD Projekt Red's futuristic RPG went from being one of the most anticipated games to a cautionary tale for developers looking to rush their game along. The launch condition of the game, as well as the backlash for it, was so harsh, that 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:refunds were being offered on multiple platforms and 16ꦓ8澳洲幸运5开奖网:Sony even took it off the PlayStation store.

It's been almost two years since, and Cyberpunk 2077 is fairly playable on current-gen consoles and PC, but it appears that the devs want to further grow its modding community by launching an official modding tool. Cyberpunk has a surprisingly large modding community, with creators adding in things like the 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:ability to keep stolen cars, 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:access to inaccessible areas, and making Johnny's look accurate to the TTRPG, among others.

CD Projekt Red has now launched as an optional DLC on GOG, Steam, and the Epic Games Store in an attempt to further integr🦩ate with the modding community for Cyberpunk 2077. According to the developer, REDmod "adds integrated support for installing and loading mods into the game & provides an official modding tool that will help you use, modify and create your own experiences in the world of Cyberpunk 2077, including custom sounds, animations, scripts, and more. It will be continuously updated alongside game patches to ensure compatibility."

It also noted that while this tool makes adding new mods easieꩵr, previously created mods will continue to be supported, but will not appear in the REDmod menu – which sounds fair.

is doing its bit to integrate the community with this new tool by getting in touch with one of the biggest Cyberpunk 2077 modding communities, Vortex. "We have been in contact with the Vortex extension community developers to make them aware of꧅ the update and to make sure that the extension will continue to be compatible with all Cyberpunk mods we host," said Nexus. "In order to differentiate the new types of mods, we have added a “REDmod” tag which we recommend for mod authors to apply to mods following the new REDmod format."
