The Google Stadia fans of the world who were hoping to play Cyberpunk 2077 at launch will be disappointed to learn that the game has been pushed back, with the new release date being "before the e🌠nd of the year."
Cyberpunk 2077 is one of the most highly-anticipated games of 2020, but fans have had concerns regarding its release date. The game has already been delayed once and the COVID-19 situation led to a lot of speculation that Cyberpunk 2077 would be kicked back to 2021, especially following the last-minute delay of The Last of Us Part II. CD Projekt Red has stuck to its guns and claimed that Cyberpunk 2077 will be hitting its September 17 release date.
It turns out that not all platforms will have access to Cyberpunk 2077 on launch day. CD Projekt Red has announced in a recent that the Google Stadia version of Cyberpunk 2077 won't launch at the same time as the other versions of the game. According to the press release, the PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One versions of Cyberpunk 2077 will launch on September 17, but the Google S💛tadia version of the game will now launch 🎶sometime before the end of the year.
No reason was given for the delay of the Google Stadia version of the game, but this is a huge blow to the service. Cyberpunk 2077 is a highly-anticipated game and most fans won't be willing to wait if t♊hey can play the game earlier on other systems.
The Google Stadia version of Cyberpunk 2077 does have one major advantage over its contemporaries, as it won't require the game to be installed to a hard drive. The other versions of Cyberpunk 2077 will reportedly require around 80GB in free space, which is bigger than CD Projekt Red's previous game The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt and its DLC. It's just a sh꧙ame that fans won't be able to take advantage of this at launch, as many people will gladly endure a long pre-load time in September in comparison to not being able to play the game for severꦰal months.
Cyberpunk 2077 will be released for PC, Play♊Station 4, and X🌼box One on September 17, 2020. The game will be released for Google Stadia by the end of 2020.
