168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Cyberpunk 2077 is finally getting a physical release on current-gen hardware, packaged together with the 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Phantom Liberty expansion. It's launching on December 5 for 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Xbox Series X, 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:PlayStation 5, and PC.
However, PlayStation and PC fans are disappointed to see that they won't actually get the full game on the disc. As clarified by 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:CD Projekt Red, the PS5 and PC releases of Cyberpunk 2077: Ultimate Edition will include a digital download code for Phantom Liberty, whereas Xbox players will get it on the disc. It's not clear why it's being limited in this way, and it's certainly not a popular move with fans.
Cyberpuꦓnk 2077 has always been playable on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S, but this is the first 🎃time these consoles are getting a physical release. Before then, you had to use a PS4 or Xbox One copy.
🌠While not explicitly mentioned in the announcement of Cyberpunk 2077: Ultimate Edition, a representative of CDPR later clarified how the release will handle Phantom Liberty.
"Just to clarify, it's on the disc on Xbox," says , global community director at CDPR. "PS5 has a code included and PC is downloadable as well."
We've reached out to CDPR for further clarification on the release. Right now, it's not clear if Version 2.0 will also have to be downloaded separately, or if it's included on the disc, making the previous gameplay mechanics impossible to revert back to for the first time.
In any case, the decision to launch the Ultimate Edition without all of its content on the disc for PS5 and PC users has come under fire. Some go as far as to say that it shouldn't be called an Ultimate Edition if a player still needs to download additional material to complete the game, something that will hinder those with a weak internet connection.
At least Xbox players will get it all on disc, albeit probably on multiple discs. We'll have to wait and see how this is pulled off in practice when the re-release goes live on December 5. And if the semi-digital physical release doesn't seem worth it to you, you can get the whole Ultimate Edition digital instead, or, if you already have the base game, you can buy Phantom Liberty separately. It just seems that Phantom Liberty's one and only physical release will be Xbox exclusive, for whatever reason.
