We're only a few short months away from 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Cyberpunk 2077 finally becoming a realityꦅ, and there's no better time than the abysmal year of 2020 for an amazingly vast game to release that we can escape into.

That said, both 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Witcher 3 and Cyberpunk are open-world RPG's with incredibly dense backgrounds (168澳洲幸运5开奖网:that they sometimes take liberties on) and a variety of other similarities. Yes, obviously the narrative and the combat are widely different, but we're wondering what repurposed/recycled mechanics from Geralt's adventure 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:we'll see in Cyberpunk and which ones will be lost to time.

10 🐬 Likely To Reappear: Morally Grey Choices

Grey Morality

Nothing in The Witcher games was ever white and black, there were always fair points on either side, and it really made every decision feel like it had weight behind it. For example, one of the first missions in the tutorial area, White Orchard, has Geralt choosing between turning in a racist Arsonist who is being unfairly crushed by the invading Nilfgaardians or a Dwarven Blacksmith who is being ostracized for bending the knee to the new invaders. Not exactly the hardest choice, but more to think about then "turn in bad man so good man is okay". From what we've seen of Cyberpunk, these types of decisionsꦏ see💦m like they're around more than ever.

9 ꦅ Gone Forever: A Predesigned Main Character 😼

Character Creator

Following the story of Geralt was a lot of fun considering he was the sexiest mutant in all the land, capable of getting along (and sleeping) with just about anyone. But, Cyberpunk 2077's goal has always seemed to be telling the story of Night City itself and not one single character. It's one of the reasons the playable character is customizable rather than pre-made, CDProjekt aims to make their fans feel like they've truly integrated themselves with the c🔯ity. So yeah, having the playable character forced on us doesn't seem like it's coming back anytime soon.

8 Likely To Reappear: The Hold-A To Auto-Path Mechanic 🐓

Autodrive

Devs have already confirmed that V (the playable character for Cyberpunk) will have an auto-driving car they'll be able to call on at will. And, while one is a car and the other is a living, breathing creature, Roach from Witcher and V's car serve essentially the same function. Hold an input and let Roach take the player where they need to go. We're sure this is coming back in Cyberpunk, and from the gamepl🌳ay trailers, it's likely that players will be able to have entire gunfights with rival gangs while the car gets them to th൲eir destination.

7 Gone Forever: Theꩲ Wait-And-Parౠry Melee Combat

Wait 2 parry

We've talked similarities, now let's talk polar opposites. For example, the combat system in Cyberpunk couldn't be more different than Witcher 3's. In Witcher 3 the combat felt like some sort of blend between an Assassin's Creed game and a WB Batman title.

Meanwhile, the first-person shooting in Cyberpunk looks like it might play like a combination of Titanfall 2 and 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Deus Ex: Human Revolution, and we're all for it. But yeah, it doesn't seem like Witcher 3's "wait and react" m꧅elee combat is coming back for this g🃏ame, and tha𓆏t's🃏 a welcome change for most fans of either IP.

6 Likely To Reappear: Random Knick-Knacks Everywhere ꦿ

Random knick knasks

Anyone who can't help but stockpile every single item in RPG's probably had a heck of a time with Witcher 3, we know we did. Every single cabinet, armoire, and chest was searchable in this game and all of them were full to the brim with thousands of different bits and bobs. Fruit, spools of string, books, food, silverware, and flowers were just a few of the insane amount of individual items flooding these storage spaces. And, it worked pretty well in the long run, it really added to that "lived-in" feeling of the setting, and most of it could be bulk sold at vendors so that it didn't plague the player's inventory. Dev's have already confirmed in interviews that this concept is coming back in Cyberpunk, and we're excited to see what the Cyberpunk version of a candelabra hidden in ဣ🎐a drawer looks like.

5 Gone Forever: Loading Screen Separat🌟ion Of Areas

Loading Screens

Witcher 3 wasn't exactly known for its awful loading times, in fact, they were pretty quick. But, there were a good amount of loading barriers spread throughout the game that players sort of forget about. Going from outside into any of the major cities counted as one for example. But, at least the developers seem to think, those loading barriers will be gone for Cyberpunk. Players should be able to go between any of the 6 districts in Night City whether walking or in a vehicle without a loading screen impeding them. It's a pretty small improvement in the grand scheme of things, but we're sure that saved time and convenience will add up over the course of the gam൲e.

4 🦹 Likely To Reappear: Some Form Of NG𓄧+

NG Plus

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is already a forever game (168澳洲幸运5开奖🌳网:especially with those insanely amazing DLC's), one of those titles that can satiate a player for years to come, but the devs went the extra mile and added an extra difficulty and NG+ mode as well. It seems like CDProjekt as a team are fans of interesting NG+ or extraneous difficulty choices like Death March, so it'll be exciting to see what they do with Cyberpunk. And, fans can be sure, there will be something. Though the developers don't want to spoil it yet, they have said in interviews that they've come up with a very unique way of allowing the player to continue play after the mainꦐ story ends, and we're sure the same ingenuity will be applied to some form of NG+ or extra hard difficulty option.

3 Gone Forever: The Amazing Gwent Ga♉meplay

Witcher 3 Shot of Geralt Playing Gwent

Man do we wish Gwent was more popular, deckbuilding games are just so fun! And, when they're engrained in gigantic RPG's they become even better, just look at how beloved Triple Triad was in Final Fantasy VIII. Collecting all the Gwent Cards in Witcher 3 was actually the draw for a go🌱od portion of players, and some found themselves ignoring thꦫe main story altogether while they hunted down elusive card after card.

We're sure Cyberpunk 2077 will have some form of "board g♔ame" that Night City will be into, but it'll very likely be vastly different from Gwent.

2 🅰 Likely To Reappear: Those Naughty Cutscenes

Romance

CDProjekt Red is known for a lot of things such as their stance on DRM anti-piracy software, their incredible dedication to their storytelling, and their flagrant use of sexualization to sell their games. There is a ton of fanservice in that category within the Witcher 3, from Triss to Yennefer and even to Priscilla. Players can sleep with numerous women in the game, 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:cheat on Triss or Yennefer, and can even visit brothels in their free time to set their eyes upon some 18+ content. While the developers haven't expressly stated that they're upping this content in Cyberpunk, 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:it's🌱 clear that it'll be back with full force. Just the fact that players can customize their create-a-cha♍racters genitalia should tell fans everything they 𝕴need to know.

1 🐻 Gone Forever: Camp/Monster Base 🔯Destruction

Monster Nest

Spread throughout the Northern Kingdoms of The Witcher 3 are a plethora of bandit camps, monster spawners, and dilapidated buildings. And, while it's fun to blow up a ghouls nest, it's safe to say this mechanic probably won't be reappearing in Cyberpunk 2077. While players will probably encounter random skirmishes during their Night City explorations, it won't be as obvious as a bunch of criminals sitting around a campfire waiting for Geralt to walk up and slay them. These roaming camps and nests worked well for Geralt's setting, but not so much for Vꦫ's.
