CD Projekt Red showed off a bunch of new Cyberpunk 2077 gameplay during its latest Night City Wire Sp♌ecial Episode. The game was running on both Xbox One X and Xbox Series X – and the differences between the two prob✱ably won't surprise you.
The stream began with a look at Xbox One X, with V driving through Night City. The footage than transitions to Xbox Series X – and the jump from current-gen to next-gen is just as dramatic as you'd expect. Longer draw distances,✨ more detailed textures, and a smoother frame rate offer an incredible visual experience on Series X.
We also get a look at Johnny Silverhand on Xbox One, and it's safe to say his model took a bit of a beating in the transition. Whi𓃲le Series X character models look similar to the gameplay footage we've seen on PC, Xbox One character models are definitely lacking.
After a few minutes of showing off character models and the environment, CD Projekt Red p🔜ivots to highlight a bit of combat. Things seem to run a bit slow on Xbox One X, but it's still more than playable.
The above images don't really do the footage justice – we'd highly recommend checkin⭕g out the stream for yourself. It's only a few minut꧙es long, and anyone interested in picking up the highly-anticipated title will probably find something of value in the video. You can watch the full stream below:
While there's nothing too surprising in the clip, it's great💦 to see that Series X looks so damn good. Fans were starting to worry about Cyberpunk 2077's graphics on consoles, as CD Projekt Red had only shown off footage from PC up until today. Thankfully, you can put your worries to bed. Cyberpunk 2077 will look just as great on next-gen consoles as it does on PC. Of course, there's a hit to fidelity on Xbox One X, but that's to be expected. The old console is getting up there in age, and Cyberpunk 2077 is a demanding new title that is pushing the limits of what it can run.
