Hope's Peak Academy, the prestigious high school that serves as a focal point for the events of most of the 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Danganronpa series, prides itself on its research and development of human talent. This is why all the students of Hope's Peak are given the title of "Ultimate," because they represent the absolute height of accomplishment in any given field that a student is realistically capable of.

Hope's Peak studies and develops these talents in the hope of fostering, er, hope in society. It's a nice idea, but with some of the talents that the students have, it makes you wonder if the school is defining "talent" a bit too loosely.

10 Tenko Chabashira, Ultimate Aikido Master 📖

Tenko Chabashira flipping Shuichi Saihara in Danganronpa V3

To be an Ultimate Aikido Master, you have to be a championship-level practitioner of the martial art of aikido, and an exceptional physical specimen besides. Tenko is absolutely a skilled combatant, but the problem with her talent is more of a logistical one. Namely, Tenko doesn't actually use aikido. Her fighting style, "Neo-Aikido," was something her master cooked up to keep a lid on her excessive energy, and it makes use of many techniques and ideologies that would be considered antithetical to traditional aikido. In traditional aikido, Tenko probably wouldn't do that well since she either doesn't know or doesn't care about traditional rules of engagement.

9 ℱ Kaito Momot♍a, Ultimate Astronaut

Kaito Momota in Dangronpa V3

Kaito is absolutely bonkers about space, with reaching the infinite cosmos being his ultimate dream in life. Certainly, every kid has wanted to be an astronaut at some point in their lives, and it's a great thing to aspire to. The problem with Kaito's talent, however, is that kids can't be astronauts. No self-respecting space agency would hire anyone under the age of consent, nor would they take anyone without a college degree. Kaito only got into an astronaut exam by faking all of his documents, as his actual knowledge about space is spotty at best. It's not out of the question for a teenager to have the skills to be an astronaut, mind you, but if Hope's Peak is hoping to get them from someone, it ain't gonna be Kaito.

8 ♐ Sonia Nevermind, Ultimate🌃 Princess

Sonia Nevermind speaking in Danganronpa 2

Sonia is the crown princess of the kingdom of Novoselic, one of the few countries in the world that actually has a functional monarchy rather than a symbolic one like ▨in England or Japan. As a princess, Sonia is knowledgeable in a variety of studies and has trained to be a generally graceful and polite person.

However, being graceful and knowledgeable doesn't make Sonia a princess; it's a hereditary title. You can't "train" someone to be a princess, you either are one or you aren't. It's a bit of a head-scratcher, then, that Hope's Peak would want to study a talent that, by definition, can't be reproduced.

7 Fuyuhiko Kuzuryu, Ultimate Yakuza 👍

Fuyuhiko Kuzuryu and Peko Pekoyama in Danganronpa 2

Fuyuhiko is the scion to the Kuzuryu Clan, Japan's largest and most well-known yakuza crime family. While it is technically possible to have a talent for being a yakuza, crime is not exactly a "hopeful" pursuit. Hope's Peak's entire M.O. is researching talent for the betterment of mankind, but what possible benefit could there be in becoming an exceptional thug? Perhaps an argument could be made that Fuyuhiko in particular has a skillset in managing people and business logistics, but in a similar vein to Sonia, you can't exactly train someone to be yakuza scion, so that's a bit of a moot point.

6 Yasuhiro Hagakure, U𝔉ltimate Clairvoyant

Yasuhiro Hagakure holding a crystal ball in Danganronpa The Animation

Hiro boasts that his fortune-telling abilities allow him to predict future events with an accuracy of roughly 30%. Now, in absolute fairness, 30% isn't bad for a practice that, in most other cases, would be a complete crapshoot. Even so, while Hiro would assert otherwise, his abilities don't really have any basis in science. He's just sort of... right about some things. Not all things, and definitely not most things, just... some things. Maybe Hope's Peak recruited him in the hopes of improving his precognitive abilities, though that's probably unlikely since it would require Hiro to put effort into something.

5 ♊ Hifumi Yamada, Ultimate Fanfic Creator

Hifumi Yamada in Danganronpa

Hifumi's passion is creating fan comics of his favorite anime characters, and apparently, his art and writing are good enough that he once sold 10,000 copies of one of his works at a school festival. The puzzler here is why Hifumi is billed as the Ultimate Fanfic Creator and not Comic Artist. He is entirely capable of coming up with his own stories, and has a personal aspiration of doing so, so why would Hope's Peak focus on his fanfiction work? That's not even mentioning the fact that Hifumi's comics are likely not safe for work based on some of his mildly creepy mannerisms.

4 Monaca Towa, Lil' Ultimate Homeroom

Monaca reaching out to the Warriors of Hope in Danganronpa Another Episode

Hope's Peak has a satellite elementary school intended to discover and foster talents in younger children. These kids' talents are broadly classified by their best classes. Some of these make sense, like P.E., Art, or Social Studies. Then you have Monaca, whose talent is "Ultimate Homeroom." Homeroom is not a class, obviously. In most schools, it doesn't last longer than a few minutes. Monaca explains that she likes Homeroom because it gives students a chance to share ideas with one another, though for her, that's just another way of saying she likes manipulating other kids. That is certainly some kind of talent, but Homeroom it ain't.

3 Kirumi෴ Tojo, Ultimate Maid

Kirumi Tojo working as prime minister in Danganronpa V3

Kirumi's personal philosophy as a maid is "selfless devotion." She will perform absolutely any task requested of her, provided she judges a client worthy of her services. However, her work as a maid goes far beyond what you would normally expect of someone in that position. She can cook and clean with aplomb, but she also has skills in medicine, politics, writing, business, and just about anything else you can think of. Kirumi is only a "maid" in the sense that she helps people finish tasks. To be a maid of Kirumi's caliber would require an astronomical amount of 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:training and study, to the point where just🐲 calling yourself a ﷽"maid" is a bit silly.

2 ܫ Nagito Komaeda, Ultimate Lu🥀cky Student

Nagito Komaeda reading a file in Danganronpa 2

Every school year, Hope's Peak holds a national lottery of regular high school students, with one student selected to join the school as the Ultimate Lucky Student. First of all, that's a tad presumptuous of the school to say you've got the best luck in the world to be with them, especially since, given what we've seen in these games, it definitely isn't true.

More to the point, though, Nagito's good luck can't really be classified in such a simple way. His luck almost seems self-aware at times, inflicting multiple misfortunes upon him while ultimately fulfilling his goals in the end. There's almost no rhyme or reason to it, which means attempting to study it is a fool's errand.

1 ♎ Kokichi O🌳uma, Ultimate Supreme Leader

Kokichi Ouma and the members of DICE in Danganronpa V3

Kokichi claims (emphasis on claims) that he is the ruler of a secret, villainous society that controls the entire world from the shadows. Think Cobra from G.I. Joe. Now, if he actually did rule a secret, villainous society, that would definitely be a talent worth studying, but in actuality, his organization, DICE, only has about ten members, and the worst thing they've ever done is petty theft. Perhaps that's an impressive secret, villainous society by high schooler standards, though Hope's Peak doesn't exactly have a baseline to compare that to.
