The feeling of nostalgia will rush through you as you see the giant monumental buildings in the distance. However, this is not the same Anor Londo as there are no enemies to be found, and the area has a dark and gloomy feel. Reaching the boss arena where you fought Ornstein and Smough in Dark Souls, you will find Aldrich.

Aldrich is located in Anor Londo. The boss is one of the main five Lord of Cinders and is not optional. If you have completed Anri of Astora's questline then they will summon you to their world and help you defeat the boss.
Defeating the boss will get you 50,000 Souls, Cinders of Lord, and Soul of Aldrich.
You can give Soul of Aldrich to Ludleth for Soul Transposition and make either Darkmoon Longbow or Lifehunt Scythe.

Strategy
Taking down Aldrich is not going to be hard. The boss is actually quite simple, and you need to learn a few of his attack patterns. For all melee users, your main attention should be on the lower body of the boss - or his tail, one might say. The boss is weak to Physical Attacks allowing you to hit the tail a couple of times and stagger him.
From time to time, as the boss takes more damage, he teleports from one part of the arena to another, just like the Crystal Sage. As the boss goes down the ground, you need to make your way to the opposite side of the arena, where he will spawn. If you are far away when he spawns, he will attack you with his ranged attacks such as Soul Mass or Arrow Barrage. Dodging these attacks is quite simple as you can use pillars to block them or just roll to a side to avoid them.
For a pyromancer, your job will be quite easy than the rest of the classes. This is because the boss is extremely weak towards Fire damage. Using Great Chaos Fire Orb for damage and Flash Sweat for defense are recommended𓆉 for this fight, if you have a build suited to pyromancies.
If you are primarily focusing your main damage around Greater Choas Fire Orb, then a good strategy would be to use the pillars as your cover and pop out again and again to lob the Fire Orb.
As the pillars will block most of the attacks, you will not have to worry about most of the ranged attacks and any close-range attacks.
Regardless of the build you are playing, if you have 30 Faith, then a good Spell to use would be Vow of Silence. With Vow of Silence, you will be able to cancel Aldrich's Soul Masses, Soul Spears, and Arrow Barrages. If you do not have the spell, then you can buy it from Irina of Carim or Karla for 15,000 Souls after giving either of them the Londor Braille Divine Tome.
Most of the attacks Aldrich has have the capability to one-shot your entire health bar if you don't have enough Vigor. Because of this, it is highly recommended that you use an Ember before going in for the fight. If you are using a melee armament, you can apply Charcoal Pine Resin if you have any because that will coat your weapon with fire, dealing more damage to this particular boss. If you are low on them, you can buy them from Shrine Handmaiden for only 500 Souls.
