How to Get Armor Of Thorns, Finding Longfinger Kirk

The Armor of Thorns is special because of its passive ability. Wearing any piece of the armor will inflict damage to the enemies if you roll or make contact with them. The more armor pieces you weജar, the more your damage starts to stack. On the other hand, the helmet and ꩲshoulder pads have spikes on them, giving a cool look to your character.

To obtain the armor, you will first have to find and kill an NPC invader spirit named Longfinger Kirk. You can find Kirk in the Cathedral of the Deep acting as a member of Rosaria's Fingers Covenant. However, finding Kirk can be hard to reach as you will have to walk a lot before reaching him.

From the Cathedral of the Deep bonfire, make your way towards the graveyard. Go past the enemies and through the graveyard to reach the giant staircase. Take a right and go down towards the narrow gap to the next rooftop. Then head down and go straight, but be wary of a surprise enemy attack. Dꦺeal with th🌸e Cathedral Grave Warden and head left up the staircase and through the gate.

Now take a left here and either fight the enemies or ignore them. Go through the hallway and use the lift on your left. After that, go up the lift one level to reach the area with the Giant in the middle of the area. Run along its sides quickly so that the Giant doesn't smash you. Get to the opposite side of the creature so you can reach the door with the staircase going down.

Keep heading down until you reach the big room with the Black Knight. Ignore the knight and take a left and up the stairs to get to the bottom arena with water. Here Kirk will summon as an invader. You♋ will have to figh🥂t and defeat Kirk to complete the first step.

Kirk will not spawn after you kill the main boss of the area, Deacons of the Deep. I🐼f you want the armor after killing the boss, you will have to start an NG+ run to get the armor.

Getting To Rosaria's Bedchamber

Make sure you deal with the two Giants in the area before fighting Kirk, as they can interrupt the fight and stomp you. Killing Kirk will give you his Barbed Straight Sword and Spiked Shield.

Joining the Covenant before approaching Kirk might stop him from invading, so it is best not to do so before. If you want to join the Covenant for "Rebirth," you can do so after acquiring the armor.

After this, you need to make your way to Rosaria's Bedchamber, where you can find the Armor of Thorns. To get to the bedchamber, you will have to go straight after killing Kirk and go left to open the door. Next, take the lift up, go straight, climb the ladder, and go across the small﷽ narrow roof.

You will get to the indicated area, which is the top of the chandelier part. Keep your footing and head left to fall on a small platform. Fall down again to the area with the Man-Grub caster. Ignore him and go inside the right door and up the staircase. Here you will see a big door on your right, which you can interact with. It's recommended to deal with the enemies if you want and go inside the room.

Collecting The Armor

Inside Rosaria's Bedchamber, you will find a bonfire. Interact with it and go forward to see a corpse on your right. Collecting the armor will get you the Helm of Thorns, Armor of Thorns, Gauntlets of Thorns, and Leggings of Thorns. The armor as a whole does not take much weight, and you will not need to upgrade your Vitality to increase the total weight. You can equip the Armor of Thorns in boss fights where you have to stay close or stay aggressive. Rolling and making contact with the boss will deal damage and take out their health little over time.
