For over a decade now, 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:FromSoftware has been laser-focused on Souls-like games, whether it's Demon's, Dark, Elden Ring, Bloodborne, or Sekiro - all of which are readily available on current-gen. And now From is going back to an oldie, 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Armored Core, a third-person mech shooter... that isn't readily available on current-gen. It's hardly what From fans are used to, and so they've been flocking to the Armored Core subreddit looking for help and advice.

Tꦫhe number of members shot up to 10,00🔯0 overnight, and while most posts have been Armored Core die-hard fans ecstatic to see one of their favourite series return, many have been from Elden Ring and Souls-like fans wanting to find out more.

One post simply reads, "I'm new here. " And a fan responded, "AC is like gran turismo for mecha", while another said, "The mech customization in Armored Core is off the charts. So many builds. They're the best mecha games around and now they're back with developers who are more talented and have more resources than ever before" (even now boasting 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:two GOTY awards).

It's safe to say that Armored Core fans are optimistic, and the trailer was enough to sway more contemporary From fans to finally give it a look. Another Reddit user posted, " (and other new fans like me) to get introduced to Armored Core? An intro to lore, backstory and characters, etc etc", really diving headfirst into this world as From fans are one to do - just look at all the Elden Ring discoveries still being made.

Several responses came in, some of which shared dedicated lore YouTubers, while others went into incredible detail themselves: "There's essentially two 'eras' of AC: the raven era and the lynx era. These are differentiated by the universe the games are set in but also the gameplay... In universe, an armored core is a 1-person combat mech with (relatively) high movement capabilities and is extremely modular (a big selling point in the series). Pilots of these are called Ravens... Also the sound tracks SLAP."

And to make things even easier, someone clarified, "Most Armored Core numbered titles are either hard or soft continuity reboots, so you don't really need to worry about lore from previous games. Generally speaking, megacorps ruin the planet and start hiring mercs in advanced combat mechs (armored cores and/or NEXTs) to fight other megacorps." It should be easier than ever to get stuck in, which is perfect for a Souls fan - practically every Dark Souls was a soft reboot of the last, telling a whole new story.

There's very little hostility and gatekeeping, as the general sentiment seems to be that of fans welcoming others into their hobby, excited to see so many new people pumped about a lesser-known From game. It's a nice break from the toxicity of the internet - a wholesome, mushier, outcome for a change.
