In a desperate effort to prolong his failing age of light, Lord Gwyn sacrificed himself to keep the embers of the First Flame alive. Unfortunately, to keep the First Flame burning, Gwyn ha🍒d to relyꩲ on a powerful chosen undead to take his place in the Kiln of the First Flame.
The final area of the original 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Dark Souls, the Kiln of the First Flame 𝓀is a place of great mystery. Very little is known about it, but we're here to shed a light on this perplexing place.
10 𝐆 ܫ Invasions Are Common
Though some Dark Souls players live for the thrill of PvP encounters, certain builds make getting invaded a major nuisance, and, unfortunately, the Kiln of the First Flame is one of the most activ🐟e PvP environments in the game. Restoring your humanity here means that you'll almost certainly come across a high-level enemy player, and that can be a real burden for those simply questing to return to Gwyn's boss room.
Additionally, those hoping to summon others for the final boss encounter ♛are at a disadvantage, as getting invaded in the time it takes to return to the fog gate f💃eels more likely than not.
9 ♎ Black Knights
The Kiln of the First Flame is relatively free of enemies, though there are five Black Knights prowling the premises. This makes sense, as, according to the lore, they served as Gwyn's servants during the war agaiꦅnst the dragons, and again during the effort to seal spawn of the Bed of Chaos in Lost Izalith.
Interestingly, each of the Black Knights in the Kiln area wields a different weapon, from swords, ꦡgreatswords, axes, etc. Fort hose hoping to collect all of the Black Knight we🎶apons before beginning new game plus, look no further!
8 The Location of the Lord Souls 𝔍
Those who paid close attention to the int🧸roductory cutscene will know that the four Lords—Gwyn, Nito, The Witch 💞of Izalith, and The Furtive Pygmy—gained their powers when the discovered four special Lord Souls within the First Flame.
Though it's simply speculation from the community, some believe that the Kiln of the First Flame was built on the ground where these souls were first discovered. There's little to prove or disprove this theory, as we don't have a solid idea of where the ꧂Kiln actually is, though it can be an interesting detail for fans head-canon.
7 🅘 Summoning Solaire ﷽
Fan-favorite NPC Solaire of Astora can actually be summoned to help in the fight against Gwyn, thougꦫh doing this , 🎀something most players aren't likely to manage without a walkthrough.
Typically, Solaire is found in Lost Iℱzalith, having turned hostile thanks to a sunlight maggot. This can be avoided if the player joins the Daughter of Chaos covenant, donates 30 humanity to Quaaܫlag's sister in the Demon Ruins, and then opens the door to the Lost Izalith bridge and kills every sunlight maggot. In all honesty, it's more trouble than it's worth.
6 A Different Place and Time🍰
As Solaire explai🍰ns when players first encounter him, time and space act strangely in Lordan, and, as a result, it's difficult to interpret exactly where and wh✤en certain things took place in the lore.
This also calls into question the location of the Kiln of the First flame. Some believe that it's far below Firelink Shrine, though we don't know exactly where Kingseeker Frampt takes us. It can't be seen from any other location in the game, a⛄nd some have speculated that it may, in fact, be found in an entirely different place and time.
5 𒉰 Returning to the Kiln
Dedicated Dark Souls fans will know that the series culminates with a return to the Kiln of the First Flame at the end of Dark Souls 3. However, t♏his time around, it looks completely different.
This adds fuel to the theory that the Kiln exists outside of the regular flow of time. However, millennia have supposedly past between the first and third Dark Souls titles, so it could be that this is, in fact, the same Kiln, though it's been drastically changed over all that tim꧃e.
4 𒆙 Farming Upgrade 🦋Materials
While the Kiln of the First Flame is an excellent place for collecting Black Knight weapons in the original Dark Souls, it's also an awesome spot for those hoping to farm some vital upgrade materials before t𒀰he final encounter.
The Black Knights in the area will almost always drop. These are fairly tough to com🦋e across in the regular game and would ordinarily require a fair amount of grinding. However, making a few runs through the Kiln and then returning to a blacksmith should make certain upgrade processes much less taxing.
3 ღ The Kiln and Lost Izali💯th
Another popular Dark Souls theory posits that t🅠he Kiln of the First Flame was actually originally constructed in what became Lost Izalith. The city is located inside of a giant dome, which some have likened to an actual kiln. Additionally, we know that Lost Izalith is where the Witch of Izalith attempted to recreate the First Flame, meaning that the Kiln of the First Flame would have been redundant.
However, The Witch of Izal🍎ith failed and created the Chaos Flame, spawning the demons of Lordran. Had things turned out differently, the events of Dark Souls may very well would never have come to pass.
2 The Ending Doesn't Matter ༒
Many players believe the so-called "canon" ending of Dark Souls to be the one which🐽 sees the Chosen Undead l🅰inking the fire and perpetuating Gwyn's age of light. However, according to some players, there is no true canon ending, and the player's choice ultimately doesn't impact the rest of the series.
Either ending will lead to the events of Dark Souls 2, asꩵ that game supposedly takes ꦑplace hundreds or thousands of years later.
1 Gwyn's Theme (Plinꦫ Plin Plon)
Dark Souls' final boss theme has gained notoriety over the years for its shockingly dark and emotional tone, which stands in stark contrast to most of the game's other tracks. Howe🅠ver, when breaking𝐆 down the song's composition, things get even sadder.
Gwyn's theme is played entirely on white—also known as natural—keys. This was done purposefully, as Gwyn represents the light and opposes the darkness of humanity. This shows an outrageous amount of dedication to lore of which most players will only have a🤡 cursory knowledge.
