Do not push Koa into talking, and choose to relax with him. Anytime he gives you a gift, thank him warmly and be polite about him sharing his culture with you. Finally, your last gift from Koa will be a candy heart that says "I love you" on it.
Be appreciative of this candy heart, and Koa will confess his feelings. To enter a romantic relationship and get Koa's love ending in Date Everything!, you'll want to tell him, "I stale Valentine's heart you, too, Koa."
Friends
To become friends with Koa in Date Everything!, you'll want to spend peaceful time with him, allowing him to relax in your presence. He'll keep giving you collectible gifts each hangout, so you'll want to be polite but not too warm to his gift-giving to keep him friendly.
In his final scene, Koa may confess his romantic feelings for you. If you'd like to just be friends, simply choose, "Sure, but as friends."
