Updated July 18th, 2021 by Michael Abayomi: With the recent arrival of 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Days Gone on PC and the PS5 via a next-gen patch, the Farewell Wilderness has never looked so breathtaking. The PC version in particular sports 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:a number of new features like ultra-wide monitor support and a super-resolution photo mode. But one area where these upgraded versions really get to shine is in their handling of the game's massive Freaker hordes.

The biggest hordes in Days Gone are well over 100 Freakers strong, and encountering them on the base PS4 often tanked the framerate so hard that it would drop into the single digits. That is no longer the case, and for the first time since the game's original release, players with a PS5 or capable PC can plow through the largest horde in Days Gone while maintaining a buttery-smooth 60FPS. And out of the 40+ hordes that can be found in the game, here are the hardest ones and where to find them.

10 🥃 Bear Creek Hot Springs Horde

  • Location: West of the Bear Creek Hot Springs Ambush Camp
  • Size: 50

The Bear Creek Hot Springs Horde is located next to its ambush camp. Drive along the area from the west side until you come across a series of caves, and that's where the horde lives.

Even though this horde is probably the least powerful on this list, just like dealing with any horde, planning is a must. Make sure you've explored your surroundings, gathered enough explosive materials, and refilled your ammo beforehand.

9 💎 Grotto Caves Horde 🦂

  • Location: West of the Old Pioneer Cemetry
  • Size: 75

The Grotto Caves Horde is located near the Old Pioneer Cemetery NERO Checkpoint. To find it, travel to the nearest car park atop the hill. From there, follow the route until yꦇou find the entrance to the cave where the Freakers live. However, The Grotto Caves Horde only comes out at , so make sure to get some rest to speed up the time.

Speaking of a NERO checkpoint, it's better if you head over there and find out if there's a NERO injector to boost your Health, Stamina, or Focus.

8 White King Mine𓆉 Horde 💝

  • Location: West of Jefferson Rail Tunnel Ambush Camp
  • Size: 50

Still, from the Cascade Wilderness map, don't leave the area if you've just finished off the Grotto Caves Horde. If you still have enough ammo, head over to your west to the rail tunnel to find the White King Mine Horde. This horde can be found sleeping inside the cave by the daytime. If you plan to clear it out by night, it can be found roaming around a nearby river next to a bridge.

Again, you know the drill: scavenge for explosives and plan your attack carefully. When you get too overwhelmed, make u🐷se of your exit strategy.

7 𒆙 Chemult Community College Horde

  • Location: Right next to Chemult Station
  • Size: 125

Highway 97 has some of the strongest and most populous hordes over all areas on the map if you're up for the challenge. One of them is the Chemult Community College Horde, located next to a NERO checkpoint and an infestation zone. They're over a hundred strong, so you better be well-armed and equipped for this.

The Chemult Community College Horde is what you'll encounter in the 'He's Not Big On Tunes' mission where Deacon is tasked with retrieving Weaver's MP3 player. Try going there during daytime; chances are you won't find the horde.

6 ꦺ Rimview Ranch Horde

  • Location: South of the Volcanic Legacy Scenic Bywary Nero Checkpoint
  • Size: 150

To find the Rimview Ranch Horde, first find a large body of water over at the Volcanic Legacy Scenic Byway NERO Checkpoint, where it'll be likely waiting. If the horde isn't there, then find a cave nearby and blow it up or shoot your way through.

Speaking of shooting, the 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Chicago Chopper is the best option to deal with hordes in Days Gone. It's a submachine gun that carries 275 rounds, but it can only be purchased at the Wizard Island camp. Make sure to have one before progressing with the storyline.

5 Sagebrush Point Horde 🦩

  • Location: Northeaster corner of the southern part of the map
  • Size: 125

Still from Highway 97, there's a giant horde waiting for you near the Mt. Scott Ski Resort. Drive until you find a large bridge in the snowy mountain and head east to find a cave swarmed with Freakers. It's also worth noting that this is one of the biggest fishes in the game, so make sure you're well prepared.

4 'Keep Them Safe' Horde

  • Location: Iron Butte Ranch
  • Size: 75

'Keep Them Safe' is a mission where Deacon has to clear up the path for Rikki and Boozer to pass through with the fertilizer truck.

To finish the horde off, head over to Iron Butte and scan the area thoroughly for explosives and supplies. There are plenty of explosive tanks and barrels, and they'll save you a lot of ammo. Luckily, you can always use your bike to retreat and come back later without the game telling you that you're 'leaving the mission zone.'

3 'What It Takes To Survive' Horde

  • Location: Ice Wind Lava Cave
  • Size: 100

'What It Takes To Survive' is a primary quest where O'Brian asks Deacon to explore the Ice Wind Lava Cave to find the missing NERO personnel and deal with the Reacher, a fast werewolf-type of Freaker. After that, a cutscene will trigger, and O'Brian will warn the player about the incoming horde.

To effortlessly finish this horde, loot everything you can before they come and find a small gap that lets yo﷽u move from one plꦆace to another and buy some time. Unfortunately, this is a scripted part of the game, and you cannot skip it.

2 🍸 ✱ Chemult Horde

  • Location: Right next to Chemult Station
  • Size: 125

Fighting off the Chemult Horde during 'You Alone I Have Seen' is inevitable, so you better gear up for that. To finish it off effortlessly, plant bombs near the house with a car with alarms in front of it. After that, shoot the car and make your way inside the house. The Freakers won't get a chance to climb or get inside it, so you're free to throw your napalm Molotovs, shoot them off from the rooftop, and clear at least 50% to 75% of the horde.

1 Old Sawmꦚill Horde

  • Location: Old Sawmill
  • Size: 500

During a mission titled 'I'll Save Some for You,' Deacon has to clear out the Old Sawmill Horde, which is the biggest horde Days Gone has to offer. Despite it being the hardest horde in Days Gone, one way to approach clearing it out is through stealth. Find a bush located near the barn where the Freakers live and try to plant explosives and bombs there. After that, hide and try to lure them using a distraction. From there, you can throw Molotovs and napalms in silence.

However, this method does not always work, so you will still have to pr🃏ep💃are for the worst case scenario. That said, the game will let you skip this particular mission if you die more than three times on the easiest difficulty.
