Chapter 25, named Project W, introduced Albert Wesker, Ada Wong, and Rebecca Chambers to the game as playable characters. Wesker, also known as The Mastermind, is the 29th killer in the game. He has a unique set of abilities allowing him to easily gain an advantage over survivors if used correctly. He's one of the most balanced killers in the game.

How Albert Wesker's Power Works

DBD Albert Wesker Trailer Picture

Behavior Interactive was very careful when they designed The Mastermind's power as he has something we've never seen before. After all, Wesker is known to allow you to think you're winning until he reveals his trump card, turning all odds in his favor.

While playing as Wesker, holding the power button will allow you to charge a bound attack, known as Virulent Bound. Once it's fully charged, you can press the Attack button to lunge in the direction you're facing at a very high speed, making it very hard for the survivor to reactively dodge your attack.

If you don't hit a survivor during this dash, you'll be able to move at a decent speed while you still hold your power. Press the Attack button once again to perform another lunge that functions similarly to the first one.

If you hit any survivor during any of these dashes, Wesker grabs the survivor and tries to pin them to a wall behind them. If he manages to do that, the survivor will lose a health state and get infected by the Uroboros infection. If there is no wall behind, he throws the survivor at a long distance.

If the survivor hits a wall while in the air, they take damage as well. But, if the survivor doesn't hit any wall, they get infected without taking any damage from the entire interaction. If the survivor gets fully infected, they're going to suffer from an eight percent Hindered effect.

At the base level, the first dash is shorter than the second one. Essentially, you'd want to use the first dash to set up your second dash, where you'll most likely hit the survivor.

Survivors are required to use the First Aid Spray on themselves or their teammates to get rid of the Uroboros infection. There are only five chests that spawn this spray, and each spray has two charges, allowing the infection to be an unstoppable force late game when there are no sprays left.

Perk Synergies With Superior Anatomy

DBD Albert Wesker Holding Knife And Superior Anatomy

Superior Anatomy allows the killer to vault a window 40 percent faster if a survivor vaults the window within eight meters around the killer. This perk has a 30-second cooldown. Just from listening to what the perk does, there are some glaring synergies, and some of them are as follows:

Bamboozle

This perk allows you to vault a window 15 percent faster while blocking the window for a certain amount of time in the process. This, combined with the 40 percent from Superior Anatomy, will basically let you walk through the window.ꦕ And the best part is, the survivors will not even expect it most💙 of the time.

Spirit Fury

Getting stunned is something you'd be looking forward to with this perk. Combining this with Superior Anatomy will allow you to get rid of the pallets faster while you make windows a dangerous thing for the survivors.

Brutal Strength

This one has a similar effect as Spirit Fury, except this perk is easier to acquire because it belongs to one of the original killers, and it has more of a continuous effect since you break every pallet faster.

Dissolution

There are many tiles in the game where a window is situated somewhere near a pallet, making it a hard loop to deal with. With Dissolution and Superior Anatomy, you can completely shut these loops down as long as you injure the survivor with any means.

Perk Synergies With Awakened Awareness

Awakened Awareness allows you to see the auras of all the survivors within 20 meters of your radius whenever you carry a survivor. This is an amazing perk to find survivors hiding near the hooked survivors and make it haꦉrder for the team to unhook the survivor you just hooked.

Some perk synergies with this perk are:

Starstruck

The most obvious choice, Starstruck was already a strong perk in itself, and this perk takes it to the next level. With this combination, you can reveal the survivors hiding nearby while they're Exposed, so you can also instantly down them.🐽 One mistake from the survivors, and this combo can easily win you the game.

Infectious Fright

While this perk already reveals other survivors nearby, whenever you down a survivor, you can follow it up by carrying the survivor towards one of the revealed auras to follow up and know their exact location as you hook.

Mad Grit

While most people use this perk as a meme, it can actually be amazing combined with Awakened Awareness. This is because you can relentlessly chase nearby survivors while you're carrying one of them, especially if you combine this with Agitation and Iron Grasp.

Perk Synergies With Terminus

DBD Albert Wesker Holding Knife And Terminus

Another strong endgame perk saw its release in Dead By Daylight, and it's called Terminus. This perk gives the Broken status effect to every injured, downed, or hooked survivor when all generators are finished. This can g🌺o really well with some other endgame perks to make it impossible for the survivors to escape:

No way Out

Usually, when survivors are broken and can't heal, they'd hesitate to start working on the exit gate with the killer lurking about. This is made worse when they decide to start working on one and realize that they can't even open the doors because of No Way out.

Blood Warden

Since it's fairly easy to down survivors with the help of Terminus, you can hook them when the gates are opened to trap the rest of the survivors in the trial for 60 seconds, whic💦🥂h can easily turn the game in your favor if played correctly.

Blood Hound

When survivors are injured, they leave behind a trail of blood that can be particularly hard to notice generally, but not with this perk. Broken survivors tend to walk around the area, making it hard for you to track them. With Blood Hound, you can simply look for blood pools and catch a lot of survivors.

Bitter Murmur

Revealing the auras of all the survivors while they suffer from the Broken status effect when all the generators are done essentially pushes them towards their doom. With this combination, you'll definitely get the first down very fast after the exit gates are powered.

Best Perk Builds For Albert Wesker

DBD Albert Wesker Closeup Eyes

With so many perks in Dead By Daylight, there's bound to be a bunch of them directly supporting Wesker's play style. Apart🌼 from the builds around his perks mentioned above, some of the perk combinatio𝓰ns that will feel satisfying to execute as The Mastermind are:

The All-Rounder Build

This build consists of Corrupt Intervention, Pop Goes The Weasel, HEX: Blood Favor, and Barbecue & Chili, and each of these perks has its 💮own role in making this build incredible and overall one of the best bu♛ilds for Wesker.

Perk Name

Perk Role

Corrupt Intervention

Blocks three gens the farthest away from you at the start of the trial. This pulls the survivors closer to you in search of a generator, allowing you to start the first chase faster t✨han you would without it. Wesker can easily snowball on൩ce the first chase starts.

Pop Goes The Weasel

Once you hook a survivor, you can easily use your dash to head towards the generator you think the survivors are on, making it easy to use this perk and reduce the generator progression by a significant amount.

HEX: Blood Favor

While you can vault pallets, they can still be a big detriment, denying you a hit on the survivor. This perk allows you to get an easier second hit once you injure any survivor by blocking all the pallets within 32 meters radius of the survivor who was hit.

Barbecue & Chili

Apart from giving you a lot of information, this perk combines well with Pop Goes The Weasel by telling you which generator you need to dash towards since you'll see survivor auras working on them.

Anti-Heal Build

Healing is one of the strongest tools in the hands of survivors. Combining a few add-ons on the medkit and some perks, they can regain a health state in no time. The build involving Coulrophobia, Distressing, Sloppy Butcher, and A Nurse's Calling prevents this from happeni💞ng in the foꦜllowing manner:

Perk Name

Perk Role

Coulrophobia

Reduces the healing speed for all survivors in your terror radius massively. It is important to note here that Wesker has the largest base terror radius among all the killers, making this build the strongest on him.

Distressing

Increases your terror radius further by 26 percent. This synergizes with Coulrophobia, giving the ♔healܫing speed penalty in a much larger radius.

Sloppy Butcher

This perk makes it so that survivors take even longer to heal themselves because of the status effects it gives them, once aga👍in synergizing with the other two perks and being very annoying for the survivors.

A Nurse's Calling

Revealing the aura of survivors healing near you is the cherry on top for this build. Not only does this build make it significantly hard for people to heal, but it also reveals their location to the killer if they try to.
