The event will now conclude at 11AM EST on July 14. This extra time is sure to be appreciated by players who are trying to complete their collections of Golden Crowns.
Doing this as a Killer is straightforward and simple, as ♉players need only locate the C🎃rown Pillar in game and complete the match. This means that if players have all possible characters available, they only need to play fourteen matches to acquire the Golden Crown cosmetic for each one.
Survivors of course are where the time sink really becomes obvious. Unlike Killers, Survivors can't simply “complete” the match, but must survive by completing all generators, opening the exit gates, and leaving only in that way. Using a hatch will not award the cosmetic.
Since there are twenty-two survivors, this can take much longer to accomplish. Sometimes one might spend hours trying to knock out a single Daily Ritual asking players to escape with a certain character. The result is that completing this challenge could take one hundred games or🤪 more, and still not be complete. This is further complicated by the likelihood of having only partial perks on each char🍒acter. While the event has been fun so far, this can be difficult for collector’s who want the cosmetic for all the characters, to put it lightly.
However, help is on the way for players who may need to 𒅌unlock some new perks to survive their time in the fog. Any player who logs in during tꦫhe event will be gifted a thematically appropriate 444,444 Bloodpoints, which is a nice bonus.
The extension of the events comes at the perfect time, as patch 4.1.0 was recently released and made significant changes to the core gameplay mechanics for both the Cannibal and Hillbilly. Right now, it appears like Killers are trying out both characters more frequently in an effort to better understand the🌄 changes to their powers and add-ons. As a result, they may not be playing as optimally as they might with other Killers, and this should help some Survivors complete their Golden Crown challenges a little faster — at least in theory.
