Though she has her detractors, The Onryo can still be quite strong if you play her right. Cocky or unwary Survivors who face h𒁃er may find themselves dead quicker than they expect. Here are some tips and tricks to help you master The Onryo’s fury.

9 😼 The Basics 💖

The Onryo's information page, which gives practical tidbits as well as lore information

Sadako is a stealth-type killer who has the standard Terror Radius of 24 meters, and an average Killer speed of 🍨4.6 m/s or 115 percent. Her short height adds to her stealth factor, since she can approach from behind walls and other objects that taller Killers can be seen behind. She also has a Lullaby, a sound cue similar to a Terror Radius, that emanates from the Killer but is much quieter and subtle and as such, easier to miss.

Hers sounds like eerie violin strings and screꦯeching⭕ metal - they play instead of her Terror Radius when she is Demanifested. She also has a prop unique to her, the TV, which usually spawns near Generators, and power up 30 seconds after the start of the game.

8 🔥 Manifestation And Demanifestat🦄ion

Sadako must be manifested to strike, but she can be anywhere when she's not

Sadako’s power is Deluge of Fear and has two major component🔜s, the first of which is to Manifest and Demanifest. She starts every game Demanifested, which gives her the Undetectable status effect and makes her intermittently invisible and gives her the ability to move through Survivors. In this state, she can Project herself to powered TVs, teleporting herself t🧸o them and coming out of the screen as she is known to do.

She can switch freely between the Manifested and Demanifested states with a short charge time in between. She also Manifests automatically when she uses her Projection power, gaining a burst of speed in the process. She must b🅰e Manifested in order to attack Survivors.

7 ♔ Condemna🅠tion

If the Survivors acquire enough Condemnation and are downed, then they are vulnerable to Sadako's Mori, removing them from the game.

The second part of her power is to apply Condemned to Survivors. When a Survivor reaches seven stacks of Condemned, they can be instan𓆏tly killed with a special Mori, the Inexorable Stare, when they are downed. When a Survivor is fully Condemned, you get a brief Killer Instinct notification of the doomed Survivor. You’ll want to find them quickly, lest they find a way to delay your curse.

Survivors gain stacks of Condemned when they are within 16 meters of a TV when The Onryo Projects to one. Survivors can turn off TVs to cur🦩tail your teleporting, but in doing so, they gain a stack of Condemned and a VHS Tap🐬e. As long as they hold this Tape, they gain a stack of Condemned every 25 seconds when not in Chase. The only way to get rid of a Tape is to deposit it at a designated TV, which not only removes three stacks of Condemned but also turns off that TV.

6 ꦦ Watch Your Hands ꦦ

When Demanifested, your hands phase in and out of visibility, this is also an indicator to how Survivors can(not) see you.

When Demanifested, you are invisible to Survivors outside a 24-meter radius. Inside that radius, Survivors see you as a ghost phasing in and out of view in regular intervals, an effect that lingers briefly with the Undetectable status effect after you Manifest. While Demanifested, your hands will fade in and out. This isn’t merely a visual flourish, but an indicator of your visual state. When your hands are visible, Survivors can see you, while they're invisible, they can’t.

If you know where Survivors are, you can use this information to sneak up to them. It would take some work, but if you move between obstacles in☂ time with your invisibility, you’re liable to give your victim the jumpscare of their lives.

5 Guard🍒 Your Generat𝓡ors

Sadako’s powers lend themselves well to protecting your generators. Since your TVs are almost always near generators, traversing the map is trivial as long as you plan well eno🦂ugh and don’t teleport too often - since doing so turns off your TV’s for 100 ღseconds.

There a few 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Information Perks in the game to let you know when to teleport. The Legion perk Discordance shows the icon of a generator with multiple people working on it, or Dragon’s Grip makes the next Survivor who touches a generator scream and hits them with the Exposed status effect. Of course, Survivors can also turn off your TV’s, but if you see a TV power off, you’ll have an idea that someone was - and possibly 🐽still is - in the area.

4 No Escape

The Onryō emerging from a TV with her Projection power.

While The Onryo doesn’t have the best chase potential in the game, most people actually underestimate how good she actually is in a chase, something which you can take advantage of in most Trials. If you’re in a chase, try to figure out where they🀅’re taking you and where all active TVs are. If you can figure out that they’re headed towards an active TV, you can telepo𒉰rt to it to cut them off and get your hit. Since you can see your TVs through walls and Survivors cannot, they likely won’t see you coming.

Also, if you’re at a dropped pallet, Survivors will often try to loop you around them, but if they think you’re going to break it, they run away while you’re stuck in the animation. However, you can fake like you’re going to break the pallet by standing in ܫfront of it, looking at it and using your Manifest/Demanifest power which looks a lot like her pallet-breaking animation. Should the🌌y leave the tile, you’ll be in a great position to catch up to them and land a hit.

3 ജ Can’t Stop A Curse

Yoichi running from demanifested Sadako

A common tactic among Survivors is 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:the art of the body block, where a Survivor (usually healthy) will get in between you and another Survivor ဣ(usually injured) and you’ll either have to hit them to get them out of your way or find a way to go around them.

This tactic can range between annoying to in🅠furiating, depending on how much you need your target to go down, but Sadako is uniquely equipped to work around it. Since she doesn’t have collision with Survivors when Demanifested, she can simply Demanifest, walk through the would-be hero and then Manifest to strike at her true target. This is especially useful when your target is fully Condemned, since most good Survivor groups will throw every body they have be𓆉tween you and your doomed quarry.

2 Secre🅠t Fifth Perk

TV's can help you identify if there are nearby Survivors static (left) means that there are no Survivors nearby. If Sadako's infamous videotape footage is playing, then a Survivors is within 16 meters.

If you look at the TVs that Sadako’s curse springs from, you might notice that they’re either playing static or snippets from her cursed Tape. What’s playing is not as random as it looks, but is actually a potentially powerful source of information. When her cursed Tape is playing on a TV, this is actually an indicator that ♛a Survivor is within 16 meters of that TV and if they’re that close to the TV.

Using 𒉰TVs in this manner makes them function almost like♛ a shorter-range Whispers perk, which similarly activates when Survivors are in range of you.

1 ꦗ Best Ad🌸d-Ons

The quality of Sadako's add-ons run the gamut of usefulness, in general you'll want to pick ones that spread her curse easier or allow her to land hits.

A good chunk of Sadako’s add-ons are middling to outright useless, like anything that alters her visibility/invisibility part of her power, but she has some genuinely good ones as well. Her 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:best add-ons are those that help spread her curse easier, like the Tape Editing Deck which starts all Survivors off with a Tape, already slowing them down at the beginning of the game. There's also Ring Drawing, which punishes Survivors for healing by spreading Condemned to anyone healing them.

If you want to improve her chase potential, Bloody Fingernails gives her a massive speed boost when s🦄he Projects to a TV and Telephone Hinders🎃 anyone within seven meters for three seconds when Sadako Manifests, whether from a Projection or otherwise.
