is getting all-new DLC, and developer Motion Twin dropped a new trailer to get us ready for its 𒀰March 28, 2019 release!
The short video gives us a glimpse at t♔he scale of the battles we'll be dealing with in the new "Rise of the Giants" content, along with a few glimpses of weaponry to expect. Animated by French studio Bobby Prod, the trailer follows The Prisoner, who walks into a cave during a snowsto🌌rm. After falling down a hole, he looks up to see the remains of a giant creature, before some monsters chase him up the skeleton. Once he gets to the top, the massive undead being wakes up only to disintegrate our protagonist.

While the video is fun, it doesn't really give the new content justice in terms of how much we'll be getting. Thankfully, Motion Twin has been pretty open about what to expect. This will include 10 new enemies, three new skills, a new hidden level, and new weapons including a shield. Not only that, bu🗹t a new boss battle will be available upon completing "the cavern". They'll also be allowing "custom mode" to be available after a few hours of gameplay instead of keeping it as a reward for completing the game. That's without mentioning the new Skinning system that will offer players over 50 new bits of attire, and we're only scratching the surface.
🔥That's a lot of content for a free update. While a few extra weapons and tweaks to the general game would be expected, new levels and enemies are fantastic additions that will surely spark interest in the game — which already offers insane replayability.
The game currently sits between 88% or 91% on Rotten Tomatoes depending on the platform. While minimalistic rouge-likes are pretty common on both PC and consoles, Dead Cells managed to capture the hearts of gamers everywhere with some solid, rewarding gameplay, and 🗹fantastic production value. While it wasn't st⛄ory-heavy, the title did string players along with just enough plot to keep us interested and invested, without it getting in the way of action.
It was so well received, in fact,✤ that it won "Best Indie Game" at the 2017 Ping Awards, "Best Action Game" at the Video Game Awards among a plethora of other nominations at multiple major shows.
We can only expect more of t💦he same from Motion Twin. Thankfully,🎶 we won't have to wait too long now.
