Motion Twin's 2D indie roguelite title 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Dead Cells has been a massive hit since its 2018 launch and, in the following years, has added an abundant amount of new content. One of the most notable content updates is the Everyone is Here update, which in name is an homage to 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Super Smash Bros Ultimate and features crossover content from indie titles such as 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Hollow Knight, Guacamelee!, Blasphemous, and more.
Since there are even more updates planned in the future, there's still plenty of untapped potential when it comes to possible games and series that could cross over with Dead Cells.
8 Spelunky 2✱ 🎐
168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Spelunky 2 is the 2020 sequel to the 2008 2D platformer Spelunky and has all the cave-exploring proce♚durally generated goodness that its pr⭕edecessor has, including cooperative and competitive multiplayer for up to four players.
Spelunky 2 is less about weapons and more about exploring caves and finding valuable loot. Still, as a sequel, it added new items, enemies, and ridable mounts like Cave Turkeys and Rock Dogs, so any of those could appear in Dead Cells. However, the ridable mounts would likely be pets since traversal is already relatively fast-paced in Dead Cells when the Prisoner is on 📖their own.
7 Celeste
Celeste is a critically acclaimed 2D indie puzzle platformer. Unlike Dead Cells, it has no weapons since it's all about jumping, dashing, and getting past various obstacles, so there would likely only be items and outfits based on the game instead.
A strawberry or cassette tape, which, in Celeste, help unlock different endings and more challenging B-side levels, could be special items in Dead C🉐ells that give the prisoner a faster dash ability or the abi🐠lity to rewind if something goes wrong, other than the prisoner dying, of course. The cassette tapes could also feature optional music from Celeste to play, due to its critically acclaimed soundtrack.
6 Flinthook
Flinthook is more of a sci-fi indie game than Dead Cells, much brighter colorwise and more lighthearted in general, but it would still be cool if there were some things from it in the game. Dead Cells already has a grappling hook item, so Flinthook's laser blaster and time shifter that temporarily slows time down would be more likely to appear as possible weapons.
There could also be a Flinthook-inspired outfit and 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:the space pirate's little ghost friend as a pet. The ghost doesn't help in combat in Flinthook, but since he's part of the pirates' costume, maybe he could temporarily blind enemies when they attack the prisoner, so they go in the wrong direction.
5 🅘 Monster Sanctuary ꧅
168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Monster Sanctuary is a monster-taming metroidvania title where the playable Monster Keepers don't only use their obtained monsters to battle others, but also to help them explore by utilizing their unique abilities. Since Monster Sanctuary has monsters rather than weapons, and Dead Cells already has pets, potential guest monsters from Monster Sanctuary would be in the same category.
The three most recognizable monsters from Monster Sanctuary are the Blob, the Catzerker, and the Manticorb, so they are the most likely to be added as potential crossover content. Seeing a sword-wielding bipedal feline fighting enemies and bosses alongside the prisoner would be quite a sight t🤡o see.
4 Ghost N' Goblins
Capcom's retro action platformer series 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Ghosts n' Goblins has much in common with Dead Cells; it's known for its difficulty and has the main character fighting against a variety of ghoulish and gross enemies.
Arthur, the protagonist of the series, is known for his knight armor sets and lance, so while the former could serve as outfits for the Prisoner, they could also be items that temporarily boost the Prisoner's resilience and take a few hits. The Prisoner could even team up with Arthur to eliminate hordes of the undead, and spinoff protagonists Firebrand and Maximo could make guest appearances too.
3 Metroid
Since Dead Cells is already crossing over with 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Castlevania, it might as well crossover with the series that makes up the other half of the term "Metroidvania." Besides Samus' various outfits and weapons from the Metroid series making an appearance, 🌃the titular alien creatures could appear as new pets that help the Prisoner on his seemingly endless journey.
Some bosses could also make guest appearances, having the Prisoner fight them to obtain the aforementioned weapons and outfits. It would be fun to get the chance to fight against characters like Kraid and 💟Ridley as the Prisoner, a💮nd fight them with weapons that Samus has never had in her arsenal.
2 The Legend of Zelda 2: The Adventur🥀e of Link
The only Legend of Zelda to be a 2D side scroller, disregarding the terrible but meme-worthy Phillips CD-i games, 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:The Legend ofౠ Zelda 2: The Adventure of Link has some backtracking, making it somewhat similar to Metroidvania g⛄a🎃mes.
Many fans don't fondly remember it due to the drastic shift in gameplay, but if it were remade today, fans might be open to it because of indie games like Dead Cells. Because most weapons that appeared in Zelda 2 are reoccurring throughout the series, it might be better to include guest bosses exclusive to this game, such as Horse Head and Thunderbird, who could fit in well within the Dead Cells world.
1 Hades
Somehow despite the popularity of both games, Hades and Dead Cells have yet to cross over. While Hades is an isometric action game rather than a side-scrolling one, its various 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:weapons and abilities could f♛it in well with the gameplay of Dead Cells since both games are relatively fast-paced.
Think of how powerful the prisoner could be when having the various aspects and boons of the Greek Gods as a part of their arsenal; it could make Dead Cells speed runs even faster and mor🐷e enjoyable than before. There 𒁏could also be new outfits for the Prisoner, not only based on Zagreus but other notable characters like Hades and Megara too.
