The appearance of Ghost Face in 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Dead By Daylight was one that took a lot of people in the community by su💫rprise. Despite him being a horror icon, it’s still pretty odd to see just a normal guy with a knife and a mask stalking the shifting realms of the Trials when you consider the roster is also filled with giant samurai ogres, ghosts, and a triangular hat-wearing demon with a big knife.
Still, there have been human Killers before, notably 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:the Trickster, Legion, and Michael Myers, so it’s nice to see that Behaviour Interactive is willing to scale things back n𓆉ow and then with simple characters like this. Introduced in 2019 as part of the Chapter XII DLC, Ghost Face, or Danny Johnson as he’s♉ known, is a stealth-based stab happy psycho that’s refreshingly fun to play and worth checking out if you’re looking for a new Killer to try. So don’t answer the phone, lock the doors and windows, and grab these tips to learn the best way to play as Ghost Face in Dead By Daylight.
Updated March 04, 2022 by Matthew Mckeown: It's a great time to be a Dead By Daylight fan it seems as the roster of Killers and Survivors keeps on getting bigger, as more are introduced whilst its current selection of slashers also gets regularly tweaked and updated to keep them relatively balanced.
One of the more recent Killers to have gone under the knife for a little bit of work is Ghost Face. He's had some fun tweaks to his buffs since he first appeared, as well as a mild rework to his Stalk ability that makes it pretty powerful now. For those interesting in checking out this cult favorite, here are some new tips for playing Ghost Face in Dead By Daylight post-patch.
14 Marked Survivors Can’t Reveal Ghost Face A🍰nymore
One of the biggest fears whilst using this Killer previously was being Revealed whilst Ghost Face was stalking someone. With so many eyes watching from other Survivors, it was pretty tough to not be spotted whilst you’re creepi🔴ng about.
Thankfully things have changed as now Marked Survivors that are set to be stabbed now can’t spot this 🌊creepy mask-wearing Killer getting close until it’s too late. Other players can still reveal him, but those are have been chosen for murdering can’t get away since he’s Undetectable. Though if your target manages to stun you in some way, then you’ll get revealed.
13 𒊎 Inflict Bleeding 🌃
An interesting thing that’s𓆉 happened becaus🔥e of updates is that the Hemorrhage effect had a bit of a rework and it plays right into Ghost Face’s hands. Previously it left blood pools after a player was hooked up, but now it regresses healing progress by seven percent per second, making it harder for hurt Survivors to regain health.
The longer it takes to use their medkit, the slower they are and the more time Ghost Face has to land an attack aft🧸er a hook. Plus, if you’re lucky you could cause them to waste a healing charge. So use teachable Perks that inflict Hemoragge such as Blood Echo, Sloppy Butcher, or Gift of Pain.
12 Activate His Ability Frequently ﷽ 🦹
Ghost Face is unfortunately one of✅ those Killers that, on his own without any special powers is not much of a threat. All he has is his knife and without the spooky evil magic of the Entity, it’s just a big piece of cutlery.
Thankfully becoming an interdimensional demon has gifted old Ghost Face with some sweet new Metal Gear Octo camo; with but a button press, when his power gauge is full, he becomes completely undetectable. His terror radius goes away and you can get right up to Survivors without them ever knowing you were there. So if yo🎶u want to do some damage as this Killer you should always be doing your Invisible Man impression.
11 🌸 His Playstyle Is More ﷺPassive
In the movies, you will often see Ghost Face peeking at his targets as he stalks people from afar, appearing in the distance, staring through windows, and generally being a creep that doesn't know the meaning of personal space. Whilst other killers charge around like a violent bull in a china shop, Ghost Face is about stealth, subtlety, cunning, and backstabbing.
This is managed by marking people after entering Night Shroud mode then holding the power button again when looking at a Survivor for 30 seconds, at which point they're hit with the 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Exposed status effect. Which marks them for 45 seconds and ♏lets you do double damage with a basic attack. Leaning whilst you stalk also marks Survivors twice as fast and makes it harder for them to expose you, so get used to just watching other players from afar for a while before you dash in and hit them.
10 🦋 Get Into The S🍰talk And Stab Rhythm
Ghost Face may seem complicated at first glance, but there’s a familiar rhythm to his playstyle that’s easy to pick up, quick to master, and fun to use. It basically breaks down into finding a Surviv🅷or, stalking them with Night Shroud, marking them then stabbing them quickly before they escape.
It’s easier said than done and will take some practice because you’ll often get exposed by another Survivor you might not have noticed. Your best chance to stalk someone is when they’re working on a generator, unhooking their fellow Survivors, or healing. It takes 30 seconds for a stalk mark to complete so you want them standing still for as long as you can. If someone reveals Ghost Face, which is done by just looking at him for a second before he's then revealed to the other Survivors. Also, being spotted instantly depletes his power gauge rendering you unable to stealth for 24 seconds, giving the other players plenty of time to run away.
9 Don’t Worry About⭕ C😼rouch Too Much
Another oddity in Ghost Face&rsq🍌uo;s abilities is the fact that he can crouch. On paper, this sounds pretty useless, and you would be right because when crouched you move at half movement speed and without Night Shroud your Terror Radius is active so everyone is going to hear and see you coming.
Crouching is more useful for popping up from behind props that a Survivor is trying to loop around, or for taking advantage of the game's funky hitboxes as crouching behind an object and then leaning into it so 50 percent of your character is obscured will never reveal you. If you’re going to use it, just always make sure that Night Shroud is active first.
8 Bring Som🎐e Teachable Perks
Ghost Face is one of those Killers in Dead By Daylight that doesn’t start off particularly strong, and it can be a wall that most people will bounce off. But what he has is pretty handy. Two of his Perks Thrilling Tremors and Furtive Chase are great for running interference but his I'm All Ears Perk isn’t really that helpful. So swapping it out for something more useful is always a good idea.
A good place to start would be to bring in some 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Teachable Perks at level 30 or when you eventually hit the level cap. For example, Sloppy Butcher increases the bleeding frequency of basic melee attacks, something you'll be doing a lot, as well as causing Mangled on hit. Combine it with A Nurses Calling which lets you see Survivors that are healing within 28 meters and you'll know instantly when the perfect time to launch a follow-up strike will be. Finally, if you want true map dominance then a solid pick is Surveillance which will let you keep an eye on generators, giving you an idea of where to hit next, and add Pop Goes The Weasel to help regress them more.
7 🅰These Add-Ons Are Recommended
Another issue with Ghost Face is his Add-Ons, they’re not great. They're just stat and cooldown bumps, but that doesn’t mean they’re completely useless are there are a handful that are always worth bringing along into a Trial whenever you get your hands on them.
For example, Drop Leg Knife Sheath massively boosts your movement speed, whilst Drivers Licence decreases detection range making you harder to spot. Or try Ghost Face Caught On Tape as it buffs Stalk Time when you're not leaning from cover. Generally, anything that's green or above is a great add-on for Ghost Face in Dead By Daylight.
6 🌸 𝕴 If You Like Aggression, Use This
Whilst Ghost Face in Dead by Daylight is primarily a passive character, that doesn’t mean he can’t be played like a complete wrecking ball with the right bit of tweaking. Packing in the add-on Olsen’s Wallet is now particularly useful and perfect for those t𒁏hat like to play a bit more aggressively since Ghost Face is mostly a passive style character.
What makes it useful is that it fully recharges his Night Shroud ability when a pallet or wall is broken. So if you’re going to be chasing someone fairly often, being able to pop this off whenever they try to bloc💯k your path can be incredibly useful.
5 Spread Out Y🍸our Stalk
Just like in the movies where you never know which cast member is going to fall prey to the killer next, try to be unpredictable with what Survivor is going tꦰo be your next victim. Whilst you c🃏an focus on one person and torment them endlessly, spreading out your big stab ability can also be much more beneficial.
Since a successful Stalk relies on you filling a special gauge, a good trick is to get it up to 99 percent, then run close and Stalk again briefly to tip it over 100 and then stab to do a massive amount of damage. It's a sneaky way to cache your big stabs and whilst it can take a while to set up, it's a tactic that's hard to counter since Survivors can't see any Stalk stats. Plus, focusing for too long on one person means the rest of the 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:escaping team can repair generators without any problem.
