Dead Rising 7 Day Survivor No Longer Ta🐲kes 14 Consecutive Hours In Deluxe Rem🌠aster
Probably for the best.
This is the case for Isabela Keyes, a crucial character in t🦩he overarching story of Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster. While this encounter is daunting at fi🍰rst, it can be trivialized relatively effortlessly, making it all smoke in mirrors if you come prepared!
How To Find Isabela Keyes
As highlighted above, Isabela Keyes is a mandatory Psychopath encounter in Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster and is part of the 'Girl Hunting' Scoop during the second day of the outbreak. You can find her by heading to the Supermarket in the North Plaza of the mall.
A cutscene will play out once you get near your destination. When it ends, the boss battle will begin, but there are a few things we'd like to highlight before getting into it. First, ensure you get here when the timer is still in the Green or Yellow, as you do not want to arrive late here.
Defeating Isabela when the time expires will have her drive off, closing off the next Scoop of the story. However, if you defeat her with enough time left, Frank will stop her and get more information out of her, setting꧃ up the events for the next Scoop𓆉, which is crucial for advancing the game's plot.
We strongly recommend seeking her out before tackling any❀ of the side activities for this day, as messing this up can substantially impact the rest of your playthrough. You can fight Jo Slade and the Hall Family after this encounter, so there is 𒀰no need to seek them out first!
How To Defeat Isabela Keyes
Before we get into her moves and general strategy, let's go over what you should pick up before entering her arena. First things first, we recommend grabbing the Submachine Gun in Paradise Plaza. This is found by climbing on top of the awning above Shoekin's.
While in Paradise Plaza, head to Colombian Roastmasters and pick up two to three things of Orange Juice. From there, head to the Al Fresca Plaza and grab a second Submachine Gun from the water fountain. You likely won't need the second SMG, but you should grab it just in case someꦍthing goes awry. With these items in your inventory, it's time for battle!
Isabela's Moves
At the start of the encounter, Isabela will idly sit on her motorcycle for a brief period, allowing you to get a few cheap shots in. After this, she will gun it toward you, forcing you to time a roll to either side to evade taking damage. Next, she will likely pull out her Handgun and attempt to shoot at you, allowing you to land even more shots on her with your SMG.
From here, we recommend heading to the scaffolding in the center of the arena and positioning yourself on the floor in the middle of it so you're completely surrounded by the structure. Upon doing this, Isabela will get sort of confused and periodically drive around before coming to a complete stop.
When she stops, you can aim through the poles of the scaffolding and unload on her with your Submachine Gun, completely obliterating her health in seconds. You can likely defeat her with one SMG, but if you miss some shots and can't do it, that is wh🦩ere the second one w🔯e told you to pick up comes into play.
None of the nearby zombies will bother you here, either. It's essentially a tiny safe haven in the boss arena that allows you to quickly gun her down and defeat her. Isn't that great?! Furthermore, this prevents her from using the ramps, and she can't even shoot you here, so take advantaꦯge of this god spot to take her down swiftly!
Rewards For Defeating Isabela
You won't get any cool weapons or access to a secret exit for defeating Isabela, but you will gain access to a motorcycle that will permanently spawn in front of the Supermarket from this point onward.
Again, it's crucial you finish this Scoop on time, as it will unlock the 'A Promise To Isabela' Scoop, which will further progress the central story of the game. You must complete all Story Scoops to unlock the game's 'Overtime Mode.'
Isabela also won't count toward the Punisher Trophy/Achievement, so you must seek out ten other Psy❀chopaths wiꦯthin the 72-Hour Mode if you want to obtain that!
