As Lifeseeker's song about the sarcastic everyman makes cle🤪ar, Frank is iconic for a lot of r🔯easons, from his impeccable dress sense to his ability to lug a park bench around with ease. Perhaps the most iconic thing about him, though, is the line that's spoken to Jessie early on in the game that went on to become his catchphrase. Say it with me now, "I've covered wars, y'know".

, the phrase has become synonymous with both the series and charac🐓ter, as proven by Capcom's use of it in later entries. It seems that the Dead Rising Deluxe Remaste🧜r team was well aware of how important the line is to fans, as Frank West's new voice actor, Jas Patrick, confirmed to me that it received extra attention.

While speaking to🐈 Patrick about his time as ꦉFrank West in Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster, I asked him what it was like to follow the🧸 original game's script so closely, as the remaster uses the same dialogue as the original game. Patrick says that it was mostly a smooth process and compared the recording to dubbing anime.

Patrick says that he managed to get most of the recording done easily, but that both himself and Capcom paid "extra special tender loving care" to Frank's catchphrase. The line didn't take too many tries to get right, but Patrick says that the team wanted to take its time and get that sce🌸ne in particular right.

I don't think it took that ma🅷ny takes to get right, but we did give it extra special tender loving care. You know, we were trying. We did take our time and try to get it right.𒐪 - Jas Patrick

Funnily enough, this isn't the only sign that Capcom is aware of the love for Frank's catchphrase. One o𝓀f the game's DLC costumes actually shows what Frank looked like in his war-covering 🌼days, giving us a glimpse into the character that was previously nothing more than a beloved quot♔e.
