The USG Ishimura is a mighty big ship. While its primary purpose is to crack open planets like uncorking a wine bottle, it also houses a living space for an enormous crew. Unfortunately, that means there is plenty of human fodder for the Marker to turn into undead holy terrors for Isaac to brutally dismember (or vice versa if you're not careful).
In 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Dead Space, this megalithic ship is made up of multiple decks that all serve different purposes in maintaining the ship's overall operations. Everything from food storage and maintenance to medical bays and flight controls spans the entirety of this ship, and Isaac must see it all in during his journey to survive the 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:hordes of necromorphs. Like anything in life, some of the ship's decks are more interesting than others.
8 Flight Deck 💞
This is where it all begins for Isaac and his comrades aboard the Ishimura. The hangar on the Flight Deck is where you first take cont♏rol of Isaac as he steps out of his ship inside the empty hull of the Ishimura. The Flight Deck is simple enough and where the necromorph nightmare is made clear.
The deck is full of machinery and metal walkways. It's ultimately where Isaac will return near the end of the game in his attempt to return the Marker to the planet's surface.
7 Maintenance Deck 𓂃
As expected, the Maintenance Deck is layered with tools, supplies, and equipment. It's basically what you'd expect from any sector with 'maintenance' in the description. The nice thing about the Maintenance Deck is that there are a ton of explosive cannisters available along all the walkways that you can use to blow up necromorphs into nice chunky bits.
As far as scenery goes, however, there isn't much to look at aside from admiring the ultra-detailed design of the ship. But there is a dank atmosphere as water sometimes drips from piping and steam collects which adds to the terrifying ambiance.
6 Bridge
As the name implies, this is where the crew controls the interstellar flight of the ship. Once inside the actual Bridge, you will see that it's massive and wide open with windows that allow you to see out into space. It's also where you first encounter the Brute necromorph. This puppy is a massive amalgamation of flesh with gorilla-like arms that will quite literally pick you up and bite your head off if you succumb to it.
The Bridge is truly a wondrous place that adds to the mystique of the Ishimura's mission hovering above Aegis VII. With the eerie planet just outside the window, it's hard not to ponder the celestial body's implications on the overall narrative here.
5 ✃ Engineering Deck 🀅
This is, perhaps, the most industrial-looking deck on the entire ship. There's a circular room that acts as a hub for this deck that contains a save spot and store. Outside the hub are areas that lead to the engine room, fuel storage, and even a massive gravity centrifuge bay. Here, you'll have to float through the air, fight necromorphs, and turn on the centrifuge to help keep the ship in orbit.
There's also a decontamination room that when activated, forces you to do the decontamination yourself as necromorphs swarm your location. It's easy to see why the Engineering Deck is one of the more hazardous places to work aboard the Ishimura.
4 Crew Deck
This is the residential area of the ship. However, when you first enter the Crew Deck, you'll see the most haunting display yet. Cryptic alien scrawling will litter the floor and walls with bodies of crew members scattered about. A giant image of the Marker will be painted in blood on the wall with candles precariously lit around the room. And to make things even creepier, you can instantly hear a distant ominous voice singing "Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star."
That's enough to make the Crew Deck instantly memorable. But, if you're wanting to shed the scares in favor of some fun, this is also where you can play a little zero-gravity basketball Sort of.
3 ♛ Medical Deck
As far as traumatizing horror is concerned, the Medical Deck may be where Isaac experiences some of the wor🔯st. It's on this deck that he witnesses a couple of human souls who have clearly lost control of their faculties commit unspeakable acts. There's also the creepy allure of Dr. Challus Mercer's insidious experiments on his patients.
By design, the deck looks like a futuristic hospital complete with a morgue that is just as haunting as it's expected to be. You'll even find the corpse of the Ishimura's captain and witness his grisly transformation into a necromorph on this deck.
2 Mining De🌌꧅ck/Ore Storage
Mining is rather large and contains the Ore Storage Deck within it. This is where Isaac gets his brilliant idea to send out a distress call via an asteroid. The ship is holding an asteroid in stasis and was being utilized for resources. You must take Isaac into zero-gravity and release the asteroid from its tethers after planting a probe on its surface. And then you must launch it into space. It's a rather cool sequence that gives you a look both inside and outside the ship once again while floating around an actual asteroid.
There's some rather haunting stuff on this deck as well, like bloody remains covering a deactivated store unit and an accompanying audio log that tells the story of a violent individual shoving another poor sap into the store's chamber. Ore Storage is filled with interesting world-building tidbits.
1 Hydroponics Deck ꦅ
Of course, any ship set for interstellar travel must have a sustainable food source. Hydroponics is where vegetation is cultivated and food storage is kept. Of course, the massive necromorph known as the Leviathan is located on this deck and is poison🦄ing the well, so to speak.
However, Hydroponics is a multi-layered deck that offers something different visually. The vegetation and foliage throughout change up the scenery a bit from what seems like a never-ending derelict ship chock-full of machinery and metal structures. It's also here that you encounter the Wheezers, Elizabeth Cross's former teammates who are suffering from a toxic necromorph connection to the Leviathan and must be put out of their misery. And let's not forget about the scary zero-g battle with the Leviathan itself.
