At the heart of 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Dead Space is a semi-Lovecraftian horror that dabbles in the philosophical, as it wrestles with the idea that humanity isn't strong enough to control its own fate. Out of all this terror, brutality, and malfeasance at the hands of bad actors who seek destruction, there are plenty of memorable lines uttered by the remaining survivors.

This article cont🦹ains spoilers fo🦩r both Dead Space (2008) and Dead Space (2023).

7 "Well I'm All Out Of Good Ones, So Guess What's Left?" - Isaac

In the Hydroponics deck of the Ishimura, Isaac encounters Elizabeth Cross, a survivor attempting to find a way to eject the Leviathan Necromorph poisoning the air from the ship. She tasks Isaac with finding and putting down her infected teammates, injecting them with enzymes that will ultimately kill them and weaken the Leviathan they're connected to.

Finally, Isaac realizes that he's got to face the monster head-on, and Cross pleads with him not to, explaining that it's a bad idea. At this stage, Isaac knows what has to be done, and before heading into battle he retorts like a total boss, "well I'm all out of good ones, so guess what's left?"

6 🌸 𒐪 "F*** This Ship. F*** Altman, Too." - Isaac

Towards the end of the game, Isaac is working in tandem with Dr. Kyne to halt the spread of 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:the Necromorph infection. Despꩲite being a Unitologist, Dr. Kyne understands that the Necromorph infection is a disaster, unlike his cohorts who have romanticized it.

At one moment, a giant tentacle grabs Isaac. After you shoot Isaac free of the creature, Kyne calls asking if Isaac is alright. Exasperated, Isaac utters, "f*** this ship." Then, when Kyne habitually repeats a Unitology phrase of relief, "Altman, be praised," Isaac immediately responds, "f*** Altman, too." It's the kind of badass dismissal we expect from a newly self-made warrior

5 "Al💞tman Be Praised." - Unitologist🍸s

Speaking of Altman, who is this fellow exactly? Frequently, throughout the game you will hear various Unitologists in text or audio say the line, "Altman be praised." It's a fanatical phrase that is saturated in total irony, which is what makes it so intriguing.

Michael Altman is credited as the man who discovered and revealed the original Black Marker during the 23rd Century. However, he witnessed its horrors seeing many ar🍌ound him killed by the Necromorph infection. He attempted to replicate the Marker in an effort to nullify its harmful signal𝓡, thereby thwarting it.

However, he was murdered by conspiring men who used his death to establish the Church of Unitology. Altman may be seen as a martyr and prophet, but he actively fought against the Marker and opposed everything today's Unitology stands for. It's a commentary on the idea of radicalization founded on lies.

4 "Mercer Calls It The Hive Mind.&quoꦓt; - Dr. Kyne ༒

Isaac talking to Dr. Kyne in the Dead Space Remake

As Isaac speaks with Dr. Kyne, he learns a great deal about Dr. Challus Mercer, and his sinister plot to achieve convergence. Kyne even ominously teases the game's final battle with a Necromorph of skyscraper proportions. On Aegis 7, a monstrosity slumbered and was only awakened by the planet-cracking operation enacted by the Ishimura.

"Mercer calls it the Hive Mind," Dr Kyne says. He explains to Isaac that the monster, intrinsically tied to the Red Marker on this planet, telepathically controls the Necromorphs that resulted from the infection. Therefore, by the time Isaac meets the Hive Mind face to face, the monster knows Isaac ꦯvery well.

3 "At Least If I Don't Have Any Limbs... I Can't Kill Anyone When I'm Infected." - Supervisor Dallas

As you make your way through the derelict halls of the USG Ishimura, you'll find plenty of evidence of the Necromorph onslaught that decimated the crew. Text and audio logs explain what the crew of the Ishimura experienced during the horror.

Perhaps the game's darkest audio log comes from the Mining deck's Supervisor Dallas, as he resolves to ensure he doesn't become a pawn of the Necromorphs. Understanding that the Necromorphs need their limbs to function, he states, "at least if I don't have any limbs... I can't kill anyone when I'm infected." He then proceeds to remove his limbs, screaming out in pain in an extended, horrifying audio log.

2 "But There's A Dead Space In That Signal, Around The Marker Itself. The Eye Of The Storm." - Nicole Brennan

Nicole Brennan in Dead Space remake-1

The one quote that actually utilizes the name of the game would be a missed opportunity if it wasn't included on this list. When completing the game, you learn that Nicole Brennan, Isaac's girlfriend, is actually dead. Every time he sees or interacts with her, it's really a hallucination onset by the Marker.

At one point, 'Nicole' explains to Isaac, "the Marker's signal changes us. Recombines us. But there's a dead space in that signal, around the Marker itself. The eye of the storm. They can't stay in it for long." Of course, Isaac soon sees this for himself, as Necromorphs can't come near the Marker while he carries it through the colony.

When Isaac asks about the pedestal the Marker rests on, she cryptically says," it amplifies. The Marker's pulse will be felt across the planet. The dead will sleep. And the living will see what can't be forgotten."

1 "I Suspect You're Not The Talkative Type." - Dr. Challus Mercer

Dr Mercer talking to Isaac in the Dead Space remake-1

Among all the monsters in this game, Dr. Challus Mercer is perhaps the worst. Despite being human, it's his ambition and carelessness for his colleagues and crew that enable the Necromorph▨s to overrun the Ishimura.

When he eventually encounters Isaac, he freezes the engineer in place using stasis. During this period, he wonders whether Isaac's presence coincides with his perceived stalling in the convergence event. He then makes a fun comment that recalls Isaac's voiceless counterpart in the original 2008 version; he suggests that he'd ask Isaac what he knows, "but I suspect you're not the talkative type".
