In 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:Dead Space, you can rareౠly trust what you see, unless what you see is a space zombie running at you. As Isaac journeys through the derelict spaceship, the USG Ishimura, there are times when things aren’t quite what they seem.

With the effects ofℱ the Marker goiꦉng off it can be impossible to discern what’s happening. A hushed whisper, something moving just at the edge of your vision, the scratching of a claw on the other side of the door. You might have missed these hallucinations and more in Dead Space, not knowing which is real and which is an illusion.

Some o⛦f the hallucinations in this list are m💫ajor spoilers for Dead Space.

7 Audio Logs From Nicole 🥃

Dead Space Times Times Isaac Was Hallucinating That You May Have Missed Audio Logs From Nicole

As you fight to survive against the necromorphs on the Ishimura, there are times when you are helped, or at least encouraged, by Isaac’s girlfriend Nicole. Some of these audio logs are the work of either the Marker, an alien relic that radiates a signal that causes a range of medical conditions including in𝓰somnia and depression, eventually escalating to hallucinations, paranoia,🐻 and a proclivity to violence.

Isaac’s hallucinations begin to manifest shortly after arriving on the Ishimura, with audio logs from Nicole that appear to the player and Isaac to⛎ be real messages. These messages are vague and can be identified by a large amꦇount of static in the audio transmission. One of Nicole’s messages has her saying, “Isaac... Where are you? Help me…”

These are hallucinations brought on by the Marker to help it achieve its final goal of subverting all organic matter to its wi🧔ll.

6 🦹 The Screaming Woman

Dead Space Times Times Isaac Was Hallucinating That You May Have Missed The Screaming Woman

You can find the screaming woman in Chapter Four of Dead Space, Obliteration Imminent. This short🎐 interaction happens when Isaac takes the 🐷main lift from the bridge to a lower level of the Ishimura. Just before the lift comes to a halt a terrifying scream of a woman echoes through the ship. The screaming stops just as the lift comes to a stop, Isaac steps out into an empty room. Not even a necromorph was there to greet him.

This scream could be a number of things, with an unfortunate survivor being attacked by a space zombie the most likely. But with nobody in sight and no signs of conflict, the next logical explanation is that there was no scream, and Isaac was hallucinating the entire experience. Perhaps the Marker sought to keep Isaac on his toes, or to never give him a second of🥃 peace while exploring the ship.

5 Any Time Nicole Is On A Monitor ꦆ

Dead Space Times Times Isaac Was Hallucinating That You May Have Missed Nicole On Monitor

We did say that t🤡here were spoilers for Dead Space in this list. Every time you see Nicole on a monitor throughout the game it is a hallucination of Isaac’s caused by the signal of the Marker. Many times through Isaac’s journey on the Ishimura Nicole will appear on all the monitors around Isaac. This is already suspicious on its own, but the Ishimura is a damaged ship, so perhaps Nicole can hack into the ship’s signal to try and reach Isaac.

While the messages she sends are weird, it is possible she is afflicted with the same disease that has taken over the ship. Unfortunately, that is not the case as it is revealed in the final chapters of the game that Nicole is dead, ꧃passed some time before Isaac even landed on the Ishimura.

4 🔴 Marker T🌳ext On Monitors

Much like how Nicole will appea𒈔r to Isaac on monitors, the Marker will communicate with Isaac throuඣgh the very same monitors. Appearing as glowing red text on a glitchy background, these episodes depict cryptic messages.

All across the Ishimura messages in the Marker language can be found, typically drawn in blood and viscera. There are a lot of messages shown to Isaac through the screens, some more coherent than others. Some of these messages include, "Sacrifice is inevitable,” "Fear not. It's just death," and "The ships are coming for the chosen.”

3 🌺 Vanishing Man

Dead Space Times Times Isaac Was Hallucinating That You May Have Missed The Vanishing Man

Appearing in Chapter Four, the vanishing man describes the mysterious encounter Isaac has while in search of the Comms Array. After coming down a💫 lift, a hunched-over man stands just past a𓆏n open door. As Isaac approaches he turns down the hall and the door closes on Isaac.

Opening the door and walking into the hallway reveals no person, no recently killed body, but a single roaming Necromorph. You can shoot all you like at the vanishing man, but it will deal no damage to him, further solidifying the fact that this incident is a hallucination brought on by the ꦰsickness 🍨of the Marker.

2 The Whispers ꦆ

Dead Space Times Times Isaac Was Hallucinating That You May Have Missed Whispers

Almost from the moment Isaac steps on the Ishimura, you can hear the voices creeping into the outskirts of Isaac’s mind. Between the human survivors, radio messages, audio logs, and necromorph atta💟cks, there’s rarely a moment of quiet for Isaac to even hear the whispers slowly tugging at the edges of his mind. But, if you can find a moment of peace, you can hear the low voices creeping in.

Sometimes it’s just one voice, other times many. The whispers may talk about the functions of the ship, or sometimes about a member of the crew. Occasionally, the voices will try to inspire Isaac with messages like "Death is the beginning," "Do you love me?," and "Don't leave me here.”

1 Protecting 🅺Nicol😼e

Dead Space screenshot of Isaac looking at the figure of Nicole.

While in retrospect, it should be obvious that every interaction with Nicole is a hallucination but in Chapter Seven, titled Into the Void, you must protect Nicole from necromorphs as she helps Isaac traverse the Maintenance Bay. If you don’t you fail the chapter and have to restart, making a convin♐cing argument that maybe this Nicole is real.

While the illusion is broken when you find out that Nicole is already dead, this event is an extremely convincing interaction that tricks the player into believing that maybe everything is going to be okay, and that the previous interaction with Nicole ꦑwas just a we𝄹ird coincidence.
