EA brought back the legendary survival horror game in 2023 with a remake of Dead Space for modern consoles. Because of this new release, we decided to revisit this list and input where the new release fits in with the rest of the series in terms of quality. The list also does not include the mobile Dead Space game, because it is delisted and not available to play anywhere.

Dead Space Ignition is a result of the publisher's efforts to make Dead Space a multimedia juggernaut. It does not feel like a natural evolution, though, and comes off as an attempt to expand the series' audience. The end result feels like a compromised product. It was reflected in the game's sales as well, which were described as disappointing by Publisher EA. Dead Space 3 further disappointed fans with microtransactions and an online pass, both of which felt predatory.
4 ܫ Dead Space: Extrꦇaction
While the Nintendo Wii couldn't run most direct ports of PS3 and Xbox 360 games, it led to a handful of interesting spin-offs. Dead Space: Extrac𝓀tion was a light-gun game made for the💮 Nintendo console. It eschews the exploration and dread of the main games for an experience more in line with House of the 🎶Dead.
It plays well, features cooperative play, and does not overstay its welcome. The game was eventually ported to the PS3 where the PlayStation Move controllers could be used as a pointer, though it works well with a controller too. Even if you only had a Nintendo Wii an𒊎d no access to the other Dead Space games, Extraction stands well on its own.
3 Dead Space (2008) 𒈔
It is not easy building an audience with a new IP, but Dead Space is quick to establish itself as a 168澳洲幸运5开奖网:survival horror game on par with the genre's other juggernauts. There is not a whole lot going on in terms of plot — Protagonist Isaac Clarke worries about his girlfriend while each chapter has you fixing up a part of the ship — but it makes up for it in world-building and environmental storytelling.
Any faults in the story are easily forgivable because of just how novel the gameplayꦯ is. Most of the weapons were unconve♓ntional for gaming and designed around cutting up enemies instead of simply shooting them. The Stasis also lets you use parts of the environment and enemies to attack and save ammunition.

Few sequels expand upon a solid foundation as efficiently as Dead Spac⭕e 2. The bigger setting features more variety, the gameplay is smoother, there are more enemies, and the deeper plot is less predictable.
Where Dead Space has the originality, Dead Space 2 takes the edge for refining the gameplay. It added a rather forgettable multiplayer mode, but it does not detract from the si🌸ngle-player e💫xperience. It also gave Isaac Clarke a defined personality and dealt more with his trauma and deteriorating sanity.
1 Dead 𓃲Space (Remake)
It's very easy to compare Dead Space to Resident Evil, and the same goes for comparing the 2023 remake of Dead Space to the 2001 Resident Evil remake. To those not intimately familiar with the original game, it might not feel like much was changed or added on in this remake.
However, the developers did a lot to finꦡe-tune the first game and make it a more cohesive experience in gameplay, story, and atmosphere. Isaac Clarke has a voice, and we learn more about his family and relationship with Nicole, and the Ishimura feels like more of a real place and isn't separated by load screens. Zero gravity sections are added to put more variety in the gameplay, and it uses the established Dead Space world to flesh out the narrative and plot.
